If you're not planning on one right now, I would just wait until you are ready... then see what is out there and what dog is in the most need and matches your family and fits with your pack the best

I thought you would say that, my hubby wants another malamute, I fell in love with some sibes at the SPCA a couple days ago. However I might end up with another mal.

My husband wants a malamute one day. If we hadn't gotten Titan, I would have gotten him a giant mal.

We're doing another Mal when the time is right. Appa has just been too perfect for us.

Thats what I think too, I think we are comfortable with malamutes and kinda know what to expect from the breed. I work with a lot of sibes but malamutes seem in my comfort zone

I think i would like a Mal (female).

I have toyed with the idea of a Samoyed too ... but I'm not sold. Either way it'll be female.

Yea if I could talk my hubby into another dog it would need to be a female being Blaze is male.

I had decided on a Mal for when my son moved out with Piper but then I found Aspen and I couldn't say no. I'm still debating on getting a Mal as a third dog after Piper moves with Colton and I have moved closer to work but that will probably be a couple of years.

I am undecided on this. Part of me thinks I would really like a mal, but then I think another sibe would be great too. Definitely can't get two more dogs, so I will have to choose! It will be a rescue dog though so in reality I think it will be whichever northern breed is most in need of a home when the time comes. Our local SPCA is really good, and is where our exciteable herding dog came from, so we'll go there again.

I'm really torn about what I would potentially want when one of mine passes. I don't think i'll do 6. I like 5.

If it's not another Sibe it'll be a GSD or Malinois. Or maybe an Aussie. Who knows.

I love GSD too Kristina! I had 2 when I was 15 and absolutely LOVE the breed and have been wanting another one for a long time! My next dog will also either be a GSD or a Doberman.
