That's the reason we bought a king sized bed! Got sick of having no place to sleep at night.

LOL! Our room is oddly shaped and we can't fit a king in it. We already had to buy a storage bed bc a dresser wouldn't fit in our room with the dog beds, crates and TV lol.

I gave up comfort for my babies lol

Haha, we bought a king sized bed because of that also, but guess what? They both sleep on my side so I'm still super uncomfortable and hubby sleeps like a king

Haha, and I sleep like a rock, so I guess I end up kicking them down out of my area but Esmer literally wakes up b--tching and when I tell her "Well kick everyone else off" she tells me "No." So it's her own fault lol.

I'm the mean mom....I don't like to lose sleep so I made mine go to the dogs beds when I added the third. I get cranky with little sleep so really it's for their benefit! LOL!

Not in a million years. Appa can't even put a paw on our furniture. He jumped on our bed once when we first got him. With the firm "OFF" from the wife and I he got that day he's never tried since.

Luna is the same way. She has an Ottoman that she barely fits on now but thats about it. Even if I tell her to come on the bed she won't. She knows I'm testing her haha.

Aww, that's mean! LMFAO! but funny

We don't mind ours on the bed. My husband complains more but then won't kick them off. It gets a bit tight some times then I chase them off. But they come back later. They just like being with us. There is another queen bed in the guest room and sofa and a chair in the living room. Nope they have to be near us.

Blaze doesn't get on furniture either, he did a couple of times got on the sofa and we told him with a "OFF" he then got off.. He did it only to get my attention.

He has never tried getting on the bed.

He sleeps on a dog bed in our room, he goes to bed about 8:30pm after I take him out one last time.

Well, to be clear, NORMALLY only Kya & Drama sleep on the bed. That was a once in a lifetime group on the bed lol.

Loki refuses to get on my couch or bed, he freaks out. I guess he don't like being up away from the solid ground. So hopefully when he gets bigger and can get on the bed w/ease he still won't like getting up there with me. I love him but sleep is the only time i want by myself haha He'll even sit outside the shower while im in it waiting on me.

LOL that pic is priceless! Kale sleeps on my bed half the night, so I get 1/4 of the bed for part of the night HA. He's not allowed on the living room furniture tho, just the ottoman. When he's mad at me he jumps on the couch and looks at me like "what're you gonna do about it", but when I start to walk over he jumps down real fast and acts like it never happened Lil snot.

The Wife decided when we got Tika she was never allowed on the couch, bed or any other furniture in the house. I was fine with it and I think Tika only ever tried to jump up once and never again. Like Riley, and firm "OFF" and she just jumped off fast and never tried again.


This would be the end of my little post, but about a month ago I walk into the living room from my office and as I pass my wife watching a movie I do a double take as a see a little white head staring at me as I walk by sitting beside her on the couch.

"I thought she wasn't allowed on the furniture, like ever????" I said ponderously and somewhat sarcastic.

"The movie is scary and I need someone to cuddle with" was the sheepish reply.


Since then Tika is allowed on the couch (never the bed) but only if invited. We are also a couple who like eating in the front room so if she's there when food comes out she knows she has to get off and lay down away from us.

I WISH! My dogs all have started counter surfing. Our Great Pyr is HUGE and only 6 months old. She has taught all of the other ones that "LOOK WE REACH THE COFFEE TABLE! LET'S EAT!" I snack while I do homework, popcorn, veggies, etc. and now they all think that it means it's a buffet!

I went to the bathroom once, came back 5 minutes later and they were grazing as if it was free sample day at Doggie Sam's Club LOL!
