Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Every time I work from home Mya doesn't let me work! Very odd behavior. She doesn't do this on the weekends or in the evenings I'm sitting at my laptop. Didn't get it on video, but she jumps on me, whines, with her tail going 100 miles an hour

lol Dakota will do something like that at times. I can be upstairs on the computer, and she'll come in, rest her head on my leg, nudge my arm, whine and talk to me then actually jump up on me with her front legs resting on my thigh. Silly puppies!

I thought she just wanted attention so I took her out to play with them, but she kept going to the front gate like she wanted to go out. I brought them back inside, put Kody in his crate, and took her on a bike ride. Came back and went on a quick mile run with Kody. She's STILL at it!!! Let them in the yard AGAIN and took my laptop to sit outside and she's STILL jumping on me OUTSIDE.
I really think it's because Ivan's not home and I am. When he gets home this behavior stops.
Crazy dog!!

Are you stressed when working at home? Maybe she senses your mood change.

Appa is the same way. He doesn't like my wife and I to be apart. When my wife stopped working and staying at home it took him about 2 weeks before he calmed down during the days with her. He still has days where he doesn't need/want anything, but just paws and whines at her until I get home.
He did the same to me when I was between my old job and my current job for about a week and my wife was working. It's the newness/stress/schedule change/why-arent-you-guys-home-together of it all I think.

Kya does this too but I work from home every night. I hate it bc she has knocked my laptop off of my lap before. Normally if I sit in the middle of the sectional she will climb up and go to sleep. Its so awesome to see that so many other people have the same issues!!

Tiffany, so true! If I set on the couch she'll come and lay on my left side and curl into the husky ball and go to sleep for the most part. Kody lays on the right and it's all good. It's easier for me to work at the table though and she's just not having it!!!
Riley, that must be it!!! Once hubby gets home she's fine. I don't get it though because he doesn't do anything for her. I do EVERYTHING! Then again when he's home they both sleep all day. I think she's just not used to the routine being different and freaks since we're both not home.

Yeah, I don't think it has to do with WHO is home, but rather only one of you is at an off time.

Agreed! These dogs and their set routines. It's funny!
