Hi, we are new to the forum and are very excited to learn as much as we can from all the experienced husky owners & make some new friends. Our little girl is named Marley. She is only 8 weeks old. We rescued her from a "private seller". When we got her she was stained in her urine and had her own filth matted in her fur and paws. She was only 5lbs and most of that was from her extremely large belly due to her massive worm infestation. The rest of this poor little girl was bones. She was so weak she couldn't hold her head up, she also had problems with supporting herself on her back legs. After a few trips to the vet and countless hours trying to build up her strength, I am happy to report that she starting to run around and play like a puppy should. She still has a long road ahead of her. We are just happy we got her when we did because our vet said another day at her old house and she might not have made it. We are currently taking steps to assure her poor treatment will not go unpunished and that the seller will never be able to harm another animal. Our beautiful boy is named Pax. He is five months old. He is the most hyper little guy I have ever met, and loves running in our field and playing with every dog he comes into contact with. He meets me everyday at the door tail wagging, and loves to cuddle on the couch with me (he is definitely a momma's boys). He is very protective of Marley. He always checks on her and makes sure she isn't getting into any trouble. He is also the smartest dog I have ever had. He is quick to learn, loves to work on his training, and loves making me happy. I must admit, I don't think I ever knew what love, loyalty, and happiness was until I got my two little babies. They (along with my fiance) are my family and my reason wake up every morning (after all you can't have a bad day when you are awaken by two little puppies licking on your face). I can't wait to get to know all of you and your precious dogs.

Oh my goodness. Poor Marley! I'm so happy you were able to get her when you could. That is such a horrible state to find such a beautiful animal in. I don't know how anyone could do that to anything, especially not a face like hers! Pax is very handsome as well, and certainly sounds like a handful. I'm glad he looks after Marley, they'll be great together. Hello and Welcome to the forum, though! Can't wait to see more pictures of your babies, they are both so beautiful.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I let the pups know all the nice things you said about them hopefully they wont get even bigger heads now. Marley is doing better everyday I even found her chewing on a shoe today (guess I'll have to start putting them up again). We all also went out to the field today and Marley had a blast rolling around with her big brother. Still finding worms in her bms but they are at least dead worms now. We take her back to the vet next week for another check up. @ Autumn, Sounds like you have your hands VERY full. I bet it is all worth it though. It's a beautiful day here in Indiana, Hopefully you all are being blessed with them warm sun and cool breeze too Once again, Thanks everyone for being so kind and welcoming. I've already been reading post and stealing some of your secrets to help my dogs have a great life.

Welcome welcome ! So happy to hear what a selfless act you have done. She is so lucky to have you ! I found my pup in a similar situation. He was 7.5 weeks supposedly and was only 5lbs and was loaded with worms. He also was stained and had ring worm on his arm that was a pretty big patch so I'm thinking "how did that go unnoticed?". I'm not as brave as you I guess, I didn't go any further than taking him and running, I was just glad I got him. I told the woman about the ring worm and she seemed surprised. This was before I was educated on BYBs and I was embarrassed about the whole situation. I'm so happy for you and your wonderful babies ! :] Can't wait to see more pictures ! I just love Marley's ears ! She looks like a little fox. Pax looks like he would be a handful too ! There's mischief in those eyes
