Can I even foster if I'm out of state? Probably not.

I'm not sure, Laina...wouldn't hurt to contact the rescue and ask! I know SHRF has fosters all over from Tampa to the Panhandle...so, maybe!

I would foster him if we didn't have Bodhi. Port St Joe is east of Panama City

I would call and ask, worse thing is they say "sorry, we don't do out of area fostering" Wish I could help him out but I am only allowed one foster at a time, but in the works to get out of here to where i can keep Miss Thang..aka Cali. Had a short interview over the phone with company yesterday.

Good luck if you they allow you to start the fostering processing with them. Be patient though, can be a few steps to please them, but they are just looking out for the dogs.

I called and they said they will try to work something out with a shelter around here so he could be looked at locally. Now I'm just waiting to hear back to see if I can go pick him up

Yay! I was going to call too...but I think in all fairness to Bodhi, we need to let him live here peacefully until he is adopted out without any more disruption in his life.

We agreed to foster one dog at a time...and I'm afraid I would want to keep Max! LOL
