2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Poor Stray still doesn't have a name!

He is a male...looks younger....not sure if he is black and white or wolf grey?

I'll post a pic here in a sec...should we give him a name? I don't know how long he will be with us, and feel bad just saying..."you, big fella, come here!"

I noticed rescues usually have names for dogs...is it hard for them to relearn a name?

You may think this is silly but what about Pluto? It kind of fits in with your other husky names. Smile

I also thought of Forrest, Kavik, and the Lord of the Rings fan in me wants to suggest Pippn. Smile

Most of my dogs have been renamed by me they never seem to have trouble learning what it was. Give the dog a name other wise people will just ignore him, sort of like "black dog syndrome."

Funny about Pluto...that came up today...then my 5yo planet geek son said, "Mom, Pluto isn't a planet anymore." lol!

Got an email from someone on Craigslist who had their dog stolen. They are fairly certain it is him! We shall see! He does wander around a bit sad, like he is looking for someone in particular.

And today at the dog social, he casually jumped into the back of a guys' truck like he did that everyday! Hmm...the mysteries of strays!

Pluto is still a planet, dammit! Razz

Good luck finding a good home/previous owners, and make good and sure those people can prove without a doubt that the dog is theirs.

lol!

I know, it's crazy...it should still technically be a planet!

SMH

Thank you, I think he could very possibly be theirs...everything fits so far! Apparently, she said he was stolen from them about 2.5 weeks ago in the Pcola/Mobile direction. We will see!

Well most rescues when they pull a dog if he/she already has a name they keep that name or the rescue organization will give the dog a name. Once the dog is adopted then the adopter will either keep the name or rename him/her.
