Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. | Tasha was my second husky. She came from a breeder who was a long time Oregon sled dog racer. She was a big girl, "top of standard" we used to call her, and very gentle. I swore I would never have a male dog again after Tasha had been my dog. (My first husky was a male who loved to mix it up. But now I've got Bodhi, another male. Go figure.) Tasha was my companion hiking, running and skijoring. I talked to her all the time, and she communicated with me. I've never been so close to a dog. The bumper sticker that says, "The more people I meet, the more I love my dog" was about Tasha. When Tasha was diagnosed with cancer at age nine and given six months to live, I felt like I had been cheated. The vet did a pretty radical surgery that was very hard on her. She had two more surgeries and lived for another four years. When she died, I felt like my heart had been ripped out of my body. I was more upset with her death than the deaths of some people. RIP, Tasha. I hope to see you again on the other side of the rainbow bridge. |

| RIP Tasha. She is so beautiful.
I knew you'd had a husky before Bodhi but I didn't know you'd had more than one. Tasha sounds like one amazing dog. _________________ |

| Thanks, Val and Melissa. Hard day around here today, because we are missing her. That photo was one of the last I took of her. |

I was saying this to my friends...I was feeling guilty becuase I hurt so much more with the loss of Dakota than some family members that had passed. He was in my life DAILY and we had such a bond that I'm afraid I will never had that kind of bond again. It makes sense to feel the loss more than family members you only see on 1 or 2 holidays a year. |
