Hello, I have a 12 week old Siberian husky and the other day while on a walk she started to limp. I let her rest a full day . Checked her paws for thorns etc ad I can bend her legs fine but she won't put weight on it and limps. I'm worried I have a vet appt tonight. Any ideas what could've happened?

Mine randomly limped for a few seconds while at the park the other day, i think he just fell on it funny and it hurt so he limped a few steps and then he was back to normal...

Yours may have pulled something or done something so it hurts when he walks on it, I'm sure its nothing serious if he isn't crying about it and you can touch the area without problem...

See what the vet says but I wouldn't stress just yet!

I was walking her on the side walk for about 15 min before this happened. I hope it's nothing serious. She plays with my brothers puppy after and was fine she just wouldn't put weight on it. Sad

do you walk her for just 15min at a time and how often have you been doing that a day? my guess is if she is still not putting weight on it she could have pulled something.

Usually once in the morning and once at night. She usually runs around the yard which is pretty big and fenced. You think I should give her a day to rest? In her kennel and easy a few days? Or just take her to vet to be sure

im one to wait things out, but if it will ease your mind and you have the $ to hear what a vet says i would go. but if your not sure why she is limping and is not crying out in pain you could limit her activity and put her on rest and see in a few days if she is better. we always say a call if free and you can see what the vet says, but if your due for a round of shots or a check up anyways i would go to the vet.

Took her to the vet and they told me probably just a sprain as she was walking much better. They also told me to wait until Friday to see if it has passed if not to bring her back for X-rays
