| Earlier today i noticed that one of his teeth from his bottom jaw had fallen out and another from his top jaw is growing out the side of the gum (out of the mouth). Seeing as these are only baby teeth, do i need to worry? Will an adult tooth replace the one thats fallen out and will the one growing well out of position slide into place? I've taken some pictures and any advice would be greatly appreciated. If i need to provide better quality pictures, i can do so either later tonight or tomorrow! Bottom Gum (his face is upside down - tooth missing should be 4th from left) Top Gum (on the right hand side, growing outwards) Thanks again for you time. Regards, Erinc & Luka. |

| im not much help on the teeth but my guess is the one poking out the side of the mouth is not a good thing, if its a baby tooth, it might fall out and the adult tooth might grow back ok but who knows i would ask a vet.... _________________ |

| yeh, i am going to call tomorrow but i would just worry all night about it if i didn't get a few bits of advice on here i guess the vet will just say we have to wait for the adult teeth and see how they grow out, id hate for him not to have a full set of chompers, poor thing. |

| I had some issues with Indy's teeth as he was losing his baby teeth. One of his bottom adult canines was growing on the inside of his jaw line (so it would be opposite of your boy's tooth) while his baby teeth were still in a not loose at all and it would have protruded into his gums and created a hole and a lot of problems. I would play tug of war with his rope toy to loosen his teeth and I would wiggle the tooth every once in a while and it eventually popped out and the adult tooth moved over into the correct spot. But just be careful when messing with his teeth. If it's painful for him you could create a dog with a shy mouth or one that can turn into a fear biter if he's scared to have his mouth messed with...
Looks like he's loosing his baby teeth just fine on the bottom. those little ones on the front are usually the first to go. But the tooth growing out to the side would be a major concern to me..Not trying to freak you out or anything! But I would definitely take him to the vet as it might not grow in right. I've never seen a tooth come in that way. |

| My friend has a small dog with that problem. She's going to have a vet remove the baby teeth. If they don't move soon, they can make the adult teeth come in weird. Tug of war is always a great game to help loosen puppy teeth. _________________ -Sara |

| Tried to reply earlier but my phone messed up...
We had some similar issues with Ghost's teeth when they were falling out, and now her teeth look really good. The ones that came in around baby teeth moved into position as soon as the baby teeth fell out, and our vet said it was probably nothing to worry about. Hope all goes well! _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | hmm, so the sooner it falls out, the better? i hope the adult tooth doesn't try and grow out in the same position! Didn't get a chance to call the vet today. Will do tomorrow! |
