I'm really sorry to hear this didn't work out. Rachel must be devastated because she tried so hard for Drake. I can understand Koda being the tipping point because that was a difficult situation. I hope Rachel and her husband are doing okay and can find the right dog for them in the future, when they've had time to get over this.

Thanks, everyone. It's been a really rough past few weeks. Hands down one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I miss them both every day and it's like a punch in the gut to see their sweet faces on the website and facebook up for adoption. They still feel like my babies. But it was just too much for my husband, our relationship, and just not right in general for this time in our lives. We got a lot more than we anticipated, but I will love those dogs forever. Maybe one day in the future I'll be back on the forum with a new furbaby, but we're not ready right now to try again.
