Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. | I just went to the store and bought both dogs a toy. Izzi (2yo) is the new dog... usually timid, but she liked Keimo's (7yo husky) toy and wanted both. She jumped for it and he didn't like it. They scuffled and sounded like they were going to eat each other. What do I do when stuff like this happens? |

| You watch until blood is drawn then you can stop them. Huskies have a natural talent for making enough noise during a squabble to think all hell is breaking loose. Let them settle it, and don't panic when you see all sorts of cheek pulling & exposed fangs. If you need to break 'em up yell loud and then grap Keimo by the hind legs you know him better and pull back towards you. |

| Thanks for the advice. That's pretty much what I did... except I yelled almost immediately and started yanking him away. I probably should have let them fuss a little longer. |

| i say let them fuss till there is blood. they will work it out, ( you can also use a water bottle to spray (on stream) on them to break it up if you don't what to get to close) when ever S&J get new raw hides or toys it never fails the other wants the others toy/treat even though they have the SAME thing! they need to work out the order of the new pack. _________________ |

| She just guards all toys and food... Supposedly, she was given up by her previous owner because they had too many dogs. I'm wondering if she had to fight for everything she got. How do I teach her not to be so hoggish? |

| When I first saw this on the screen again this morning I thought oh oh trouble. I love it when I'm wrong. Time will be their best friend. |

Time will be their best friend. I think so. She follows him everywhere and for the most part, he doesn't seem to mind now. They sleep on their pillows butt to butt. lol |
