So everything has went pretty smooth this past week for the most part. It's been a little over a week since Jas has been inside with us. Since switching her food and brushing her daily we have much less fur floatin around than I expected. She has not had one single accident in the house and readily does her business outside. Sometimes she is a little difficult to coax back in. She has not got to run very much the last couple weeks due to deer season being in in our area. Many of the rednecks we have around here would mistake her for a coyote or wolf and shoot her if they had a chance. Others would not mistake her at all but just shoot her bc their idiots. So she's been on the leash pretty well the whole time. She had vaccines yesterday and seems a lil lethargic. Didnt have tons of exuberance about our walk and is not wanting to play. Probably the biggest incident was when she ATE MY BIBLE! No lie! I had left it in her room on the bed and she didnt have any toys in there. It was the Bible that my pastor and his wife got me for my birthday last year, so i was not too thrilled. I realized that it was my fault tho and we went and got some toys to entertain her!

sounds like Luka isn't far behind! His potty training is going well - he sits by the door wanting to be let out when he needs to go! Although he is too smart for his own good! He has started to sit by the door when he just fancies a stroll round the back garden &like you said, its not the easiest thing getting them back inside!
How old is Jas now? Keep up the good progress!

Glad to hear Jas is doing good and that you know it was your faught for leaving the bible out wiith her around, still sucks she ate it but we all have our moments.of well I should not have left that out....

So with the deer hunting are you saying you let her off leash? I would not advise that for if she dos see a deer or other animal she will take chase and you may never see her again.

I understood the opposite - i thought she was keeping Jas on leash because of the deer hunt?

this made me believe that she does let her run lose but is NOW keeping her leashed because of the hunters. i could be reading it wrong, thats why i asked.

Yes i do let her off leash on some of our walks. We live in a very rural area. I always have an electric training collar on her, however. I never have to use it when it's on her...she just knows! Perhaps some would say this is cruelty or abusive but I don't believe it is. I used it on myself before I ever used it on her, and now she is able to run loose with my supervision.
