I have s friend, ok, ill call her an aqauintance, who has a few pit bull dogs. They are ugly, not breed standard at all, not registered, and are not regularly vet checked. Imo, she has them just because she thinks owning pits are fun. So this brings me to my rage. One of her females just had a litter of puppies about a week ago, 13 of them to be exact. She is selling these puppies on facebook of all places, for 100$ for females, and 75$ for males. Oh, and her other female is due for a litter any day now. It just irks me that people can be so irrisponsible. What in the world are you gonna do with 20 puppies! Now I know of two pit bull breeders who show their dogs, their dogs look great, and they have one litter a year. That to me is responsible, but to breed your two crappy females to two crappy males, and sell the puppies for 100$? I feel sorry for the people buying the pups and think they are getting a deal. I might be asking for a flaming here, but I used to breed and raise Heeler's. I had a female i picked up off the side of the road when she was 4 months old, and she turned out to be the best working dog in our county and the 10 counties surrounding us. I had a male, who was the same way, them two together would bring back a herd of cows and horses before you even knew what was happening. Other ranchers saw this, and they wanted the genes. I bred those two together, and sold the pups to fellow ranchers for the cost of their first shots and vet visits. Out of the first litter, 1 out of 5 didnt make it as a working dog. That dog is still sitting on the couch at one of my friends mothers house. I ended up breeding those two again, because more people wanted them. One of the pups went to the woman whose first pup didn't work out, and the other 4 went to local ranchers, who were amazed at the working ability of these dogs. I felt a sense of pride in knowing that I had given these people amazing working dogs, and that everyone loved my two because of that. I didn't breed the female for a third time, because i truly believed she didn't like the time away from working. I did breed the male one more time, to a friends female who was also an amazing working dog. I got pick of the litter, and the rest of the pups went to working homes where 4/6 ended up being great working dogs, the two that didn't make it watched their brothers from the back of the truck. My point in this story being, call me a backyard breeder if you want, but i had a purpose, and i fufilled that purpose, and i felt good about it. This girl, she has no reason but to make a few bucks, and it irritates me. Ok i'm done.

She's an idiot. Has she gone to a shelter? At least in FL the shelters are mainly full of pitts and pitt mixes. It's just sad.

Put a post in the pets section on your local Craigslist letting people know she sells crap puppies.
