| Yup! It's early! It was WW3 in our house at first - but the "pack walks" helped enormously. It was the only time they actually got along. I put them on a coupler and it was fine, it really reinforced that they're a pack - plus wore them out, plus let them get to know each other in a non-threatening side by side manner. They totally sniffed each other when the other wasn't looking! If they're ok right now - you're doing great! Bonding will come in time. It took them 3 weeks to play - but Chili is super dominant, so it depends on Willow. The GSD I helped rehome a few weeks ago started playing after 3 days! Now onto names! I refuse to call her Puppy X! I always like the change the names, since there may be a bad association to the name from their past. http://www.cat-dog-names.com/page/category/69/ http://www.puppy-names-plus.com/husky-dog-names.html http://www.siberescue.com/Links/TOTTNames.html BTW - hope you feel better soon! Snuggling with a new puppy will sure help! |

| Mine had an instant connection, Zoey loved Embry from day 1, and Embry loved her. It might take a few days, but in no time they'll be loving and playing with each other! |

| Awww poor kitty! The first time I ever heard my cat Ash hiss, was when he met Zoey. It took him about a week to realize he had to share Embry lol. He still kinda hates Zoey, once in a while I catch them laying next to each other, but otherwise he's chasing her, from on top of the couch and attacking her tail, or she's pouncing on him, |

She doesn't seem interested in Willow. What can I do to get those two to bond? Time is the answer. When I first got Adobo her and Mylo kept a friendly distance for a short period. Same thing happen with Adobo and Biko. They're both young they just need to sort each other out. The ears I wouldn't put to much emphasis on them, look at all the other pup pics we've seen in here at times. Many of them I thought would be capable of flying with those ears attached to their heads. The name and still one of my favorites in honor of Steve Martin's "The Jerk" I suggest, Shithead. |

| Storm didn't seem interested in the puppy when I brought him home either. I think it just takes a little time for them to get used to each other. I walked around the back yard with both of them and threw some toys around to try and get them to play together. I think walking them together and just encouraging play is all you can do. |

| I have had so many good Kodak moments but can't get to the camera in time! I always hook Willow up to the tie out when i take Piper out to pee so they are both out there and last night as we started to head back in Willow grabbed pipers leash and carried it inside. I don't know if she thought I was going to drop it and lose Piper or what! It was cute! I have learned that I have a talker on my hands! when I got home tonight, I stood outside the door to see if she was yelling and she was quiet until she heard the key in th door and boy did I get a tongue lashing! She was telling me off for leaving big time! She talked my head off all the way outside to relieve herself and then she finally calmed down. I'm pretty sure all the neighbors could hear her telling me off. I think I am in trouble! I feel like only you guys would understand this, but I had an emotional moment this morning. As I was taking care of her it just hit me hard that she wouldn't be here if Dakota was still here. The emotions just kinda kicked me in the gut. |

| Aw Mindy its going to take time but no matter what Dakota is always with you in your heart. Best advice is when your feeling emotional- let yourself cry but think of good happy Dakota memories. At least that way you're crying and laughing _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Thanks Kristina! I'm really not an emotional person and losing him has turned me inside out. I know that sounds dramatic but it's how I feel. Ugg...ok, changing to happy thoughts!
Willow and Piper are finally really playing! It seems she is coming out of her shell already. If my phone will charge quickly I will post a video. Willow is playing with her differently than she did with Dakota so I'm curious of what you all think. Piper keeps showing her belly to Willow and I think I read that means respect, is that right? |

| Awww Mindy It will get easier with time I'm sure. Just think that Dakota is happy that you got a little sister for Willow so that she won't miss him so much I'm glad that they're getting along so quickly. That's awesome!!! |

| Awww...like Melissa said, it'll get easier. Feel the feelings and you'll feel better later on. That is soooo cute with Willow carrying the leash! OMG! How cute! And yes, the showing the belly is respect and submission! Frosti plays like that with Chili - but with other dogs she's totally the dominant one! So it makes sense that Willow will play differently. Plus - at 4 months I think Piper still has the new puppy smell and the puppy "pass". |

| Aw Mindy I'm sure it'll get easier over time, and hopefully Willow and Piper can make it an easier process That's way to cute that Willow carried her leash, lovin her baby sister already Yup belly up is usually the dog being submissive to the other one |

Meredith, I can't wait to meet your Ghost as well! This will be our first play date so I'm excited! |
