Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| I am adopting a female Husky called Kayak..she was dumped in the desert at 4 months old, and was rescued by a lady who already has several dogs . Now Kayak is 8 months old and the lady wished to find Kayak a new home...this is where I stepped in...I pick her up the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I have some pics, but when I create a new post, there is no toolbar for me to select photos, no picture with floppy disc. I am using Win XP and IE 8...so what do I do?
Mike
...so after I post, the toolbar shows up..I select a photo, but I have no idea where it went to! |

| Mike- Select the photo using the "Host an Image" icon. Then Resize the image to 640 px. Then copy the resulting letters and numbers in the middle box. Paste them where you want them in your post. You won't be able to see a photo yet. Hit Preview and the photo should be now visible in your post. Hope this helps. Michael from Oregon |

I guess not, um...
When I post a reply, the toolbar disappears, so I have no way of uploading a pic. |

| Mike: First you have to be in the Post an Image box, after the last post. The Host an Image icon looks like two squares overlapping each other. When you have selected your image and resized it, copy the text in the Image box. Then paste that in the Post a Reply box. It won't look like a picture, just a bunch of letters, until you hit preview, |

| Ok...I think I've got it...just seems to me that the process is all back to front...I am on other dog forums (whippet), and have posted a number of pics...type text, add attachment, hey presto, done. ...all that aside, let me introduce Kayak |

| Welcome! thanks for adopting!!! most of us use photobucket to post pics. you can just copy and past the code from photobucket right into the thread and not do all that up loading stuff. dry land mushing sounds fun! cant wait to hear how it goes _________________ |
