thought i had more pics but i could only stay half the time. with out claudia or heather taking pics this is all i got. sorry Bronx was there and she is a cutie, she played with dozer the other pup. Mal/something mix, i call him a teddy bear, behind him is a brown mal, and a GS/husky mix that looked like a tall Gunny the brown Mal that came sierra watching the pups play the pups i like this park we were at, it was just the huskies since its so remote, some did not want to make the drive to it but its so worth it to have it all to ourselves. _________________

Sorry we missed it...extra orchestra rehearsal at the same time means I go to rehearsal and the kids stay at home.

I would normally be able to do a Saturday more easily than Sunday, but this past weekend we had an extra rehearsal for Sunday's concert. The wedding went really well...except for the humidity, but we were expecting that. The rain held off nicely so it was overcast, buggy and humid for the outside receiving line and a few of the pictures. We had a good turnout...about 70 people total and the reception was a blast. I'll try to remember to post some pictures in our introduction post later this week. On our drive home, we went up to Niagara Falls (Canadian side), drove a bit through Canada, came down in Michigan and made our way to the Detroit area. We went to the Henry Ford Museum, where since it was overcast and very cool, we left the pups in the truck with water...came back out to find our birth certificates destroyed One of those pups had to either become double jointed or really lucky to find those. From there we went to the U.P. and then down through WI and MN towards South Dakota where we made our way to the Badlands, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse....then we headed home. Overall great trip. The only annoying part of the trip was on the drive east in PA. We got pulled over shortly after entering the state (NOT speeding, mind you) because the truck's windows are tinted (legal here in CO, not in PA). Then the trooper who pulled us over decided that since we were from CO, we must be trafficking pot and proceeded to search the truck! At least they didn't unload the truck...

I do like this park also because it's tucked away off the road and it seems as if hardly anyone goes there, and the big trees makes for a nice shade. Sorry we missed it....looks like we'll miss November's meet up too _________________

From the looks of it, there are two scheduled for November. One on the 5th and the one that Jennifer is currently taking a poll on...I'm hoping we'll be able to make at least one...weather permitting!

Nice pics! Isn't the weather always permitting for the dogs in Colorado? I like the looks of the park except the short fence scares me a little. My boy Sebo would see that as a opportunity to run free.

That's cool! we have been so lacking in moisture that we haven't had to deal with a meet in the rain yet. The third pic it looks like the malamute is 3/4 as tall as the fence, probably a camera angle trick. |
