Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| This is Sharona (used to be called Boots). I've been fostering her for the rescue group A.A.R.F., located in Cookeville, TN. She is young and healthy, about a year old, spayed, and UTD on all her shots. She's not in any danger of being put down or losing her place, but I wanted to share her with the Husky community. Most of the inquiries on her have been older folks looking for a Golden Retriever to replace pets who have passed on, and while Boots is a very happy, well-tempered dog, she has a certain independence and spirit that falls outside of that breed and well into the Husky. She would certainly be happier with an owner who understands Huskies. If anyone is interested in a uniquely beautiful, eager young almost-Husky, check out Sharona on Petfinder - www.petfinder.com/petdetail/18355393 Here's some more photos that haven't made it to Petfinder yet - If there's anywhere else I can post her to raise some interest among Husky lovers, please let me know. |

| I recently lost my blonde Husky mix named Millie. She was my baby. I can't replace her but I would like to find another of similar coloring and temperment. Millie was very much like Sharona, playful and somewhat obedient except that she would not stay in the yard. I hate to tie a dog up but I most certainly wish I had. I was only gone to the store for 20 minutes. I live in Amarillo, Texas. If Sharona is still available, I am interested in adopting her. | Cecil- Best way to get in touch would be through Sharona's Petfinder info. It says she's pending, but who knows. _________________ -Sara |

| These dogs sort of look similar and are in your area. There seems to be a few sibe rescues in Texas. You should give them a call and see what they have.

| I have attempted to use petfinder but their page refuses to allow me to set my own search perameters. It [petfindes webpage] imputs information without my approval and refuses to allow a change. It is the only website I have encountered that does this. Ran a scan for viruses etc. Only petfinders does this. Cecil |

| That's weird. What do you want to search and I'll try to do the search for you and send you the list it comes up with. _________________ -Sara |
