| Kody is having major tummy issues I get home at 630pm (it's now 741pm) and hubby tells me that Kody did #2 twice in the house throughout the day (he was off) and then he ate it. Fine, Kody eats his poop every so often. The second I take them outside Mya starts chasing him and while running he throws up (it came out nose also). Then he has diarrhea. A few minutes later he throws up (a lot) again and it smells like poop this time (obviously because he ate it before). He's acting really weird. Sitting down with his ears down. Seems to me like he's nauseous. I leave him here and take Mya for her walk (short...15min... so that she would leave me alone) and he had done #2 (a lot of diarrhea) in the house again. I start cleaning it up and he throws up again It's been about 20min with no vomit and no poop, but you can tell that he's drained. He hadn't eat dinner yet. So I don't know if I just shouldn't feed him at all or give him eggs (he did good on eggs when we got him and he wouldn't have a formed BM for anything). Maybe just give him some pumpkin? Get him Pedialite? I don't know what to do The only two things that I can think of that caused this is some new bones that I got them (and gave him 2 this morning to keep him entertained when he woke up at 5am), but I had give him one yesterday morning also. OR philly cheesesteak that he pulled out of the toilet on Saturday. My hubby threw a bit of the sauce with mushrooms in it in the toilet, didn't flush the toilet, and left the bathroom door open Then again this was on Saturday so not sure it could have been that. I'm so worried. Not having a good day!

| Oh, and not to mention that hubby had to run to puke twice because he smelled Kody's poop. Then, when I told him to watch Kody so that I could clean Kody's vomit outside he smelled it and puked right there again. I'm like OMG WTF is going on. I'm surrounded! Seriously, hubby is SUCH A WUSS! I was getting so mad!!! I know he can't control it, but geez lord...c'mon! |

| LOL I'm sorry but imagining both Ivan and Kody puking in sync has me in hysterics
I would try eggs and pedialite and just watch him through the night. I'd say if he wasn't better in the morning to take him in. Stuff coming out both ends is never good. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Oh no, poor Kody! And what a revolting mess for you to clean up.
When Ghost had a tummy bug that caused him to make a terrible mess in the house, we rang the vet and they said we didn't need to take him in unless it persisted. We made sure he had plenty of water available but didn't feed him until he seemed to be feeling a bit better. I guess it depends how bad it is; maybe take him to the vet if he's not better tomorrow. |

| Poor Kody! I hope he gets to feeling better soon! My son is the same as your husband. He can't be around anything that smells bad or he starts gagging. Seriously, I think it's a guys way of getting out of helping the clean up. |

| Kristina, now that I'm not in the situation anymore it is pretty hilarious. I've had my share of puke and s**t for a long time..lol. I did feed him the eggs now with one tablespoon or pumpkin and gave him pedialite. He seems to be doing better since was playing with Mya before I fed him so I decided to try it. I just hope that the worse is over and that he sleeps through the night without any issues. My poor baby Mindy, you're totally right! I think it's just their way of getting out of doing the dirty work and I get so upset, but I can't tell him that because then he'll be pretty upset. Ughh, men! lol |

| Hope he's doing better. I don't want to bring any other fear into the mix, but any chance of internal blockage, especially with a new bone? Vomit and diarrhea are both signs of blockage, especially poo smelling vomit. It's harder that he recently ate poop though... Just something to keep an eye on. |

| He didn't have any more issues as of 8pm last night. He tried to poop once when I took him out at 10:30pm, but nothing came out. He did poop a bit this morning though. It was soft, but not as bad as it had been. I'm going to have to go home during lunch to check on him and see if he goes again.
Riley, I know what you mean...that's what I was totally freaking out. When had only had him for about a month or two he ate not ONE, but TWO of my husbands work socks. That was so scary! He eventually puked them both out, but we were about to rush him to the ER. I'm almost certain that it's not anything causing blockage because if not it wouldn't stopped. With the sock issue it was constant until he got them out.
These dogs I tell ya!!! |

| Well he hadn't pooped in the crate, but did have diarrhea when he went out Val, I think you mentioned once that it takes about 24 hours to get whatever they had in their system out? |

| Yep, sometimes it can take a bit longer sometimes less time. It really all depends. Like Brooke, I fast my dogs when they are vomiting and have diarrhea. Sometimes I feel bad for them and give them a small amount of food and it usually just makes things worse so as hard as it is to see them hungry I try to fast them for at least 12 hours if not longer to give their systems a chance to settle. And when I do start reintroducing food it's something easy on the stomach and in a small portion to see how they handle it. _________________ |

| Ha, oops. I gave him a little bit of food this morning He's not vomiting anymore, but his BM's are still really mushy. So I just won't feed him dinner and try some boiled chicken or eggs tomorrow morning with a tablespoon of pumpkin. Oh, and he doesn't like the pedialyte . I had to force him last night! Should I mix it with some water? |

| Have you tried putting some chicken or beef broth in his water? I put chicken broth in the dogs' water bowl when I'm trying to keep them hydrated. They can't resist it! _________________ |

| Poor Kody. I really hope he gets back to his normal self soon. Drogo just got finished with some pretty nasty diaherra as well. ;__; I bought him a new bed and 4 different toys in an attempt to make him "feel better." Not sure if it worked, but it made ME feel better. lol |

| Great idea Val! They love chicken broth!! Will definitely do that tonight and give him some boiled chicken tomorrow morning. My poor boy is going to be so hungry He's always asking for food and it's not like he's under fed or anything. Imagine tonight when he hears me feeding Mya |

Kale likes it but it's so dang expensive I force feed it so I don't waste any haha. I have a 60cc syringe and I stick it between his teeth towards the back and syringe feed him. He doesn't mind it too much; he usually doesn't feel to good so he lets me do whatever to him If you have a baby dropper that would work too. But yes, mixing it with the water may work, it would get rid of the different taste. |
