hello everyone,
ever since i got my new husky its been me googling everything, trying to get good, husky specific information. There is alot of info out there but im not the type of person to want one persons opinion then take it. that will get me nowhere. Then yeterday i needed to find out about puppy biting and stubbled here, which is great because you guys have every other answer ive been looking for, plus if you dont ill ask.... and i will be asking.
this is Coda, she is nearly 5months and she is even bigger now, sorry about my messy room... i did it, not her.

I've had my share of scares with my 2 and don't wish that upon anybody. You have a crate so that's definitely a great start!!!

Ask away...everybody is very friendly and knowledgeable Very Happy

i asked about the remodel cause you have plywood floors. we had plywood floors for 6 months till we could afford new floors in our foreclosure home we bought.

Welcome! Coda is beautiful!

I see drums in this pic... Does she bark like crazy when you drum? My son drums in the basement and even with Sabaka on the main level, he stands at the heat vent and barks. It's quite a concert!!! hello from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia Canada 1625187496

Coda is beautiful just like Nova Scotia. I was there in the mid 90's and would love to go back. The people were friendly and the scenery was awesome. Especially liked the Bay of Fundy and the tidal plant, but I'm a bit of a geek.

Coda is so gorgeous! She reminds me a lot of Durbin, another puppy on here. Too funny you clarified that it was your mess, LOL! There are a ton of great threads on here, it's always nice to be able to personally talk with people about your questions and be able to respond to each reply you get with more questions. Googling stuff and just reading one person's answer and that's that was always annoying to me!

i do not drum while she is around i did once and she got scared and peed in the floor. plus i dont really play drums, i jam with people , i play guitar. Coda goes out in her pen, i dont want to scare her. plus she tries to chew my 1000 dollar fender strat, so she relaxes in her pen if im jamming. Music is a love of mine, thats where Coda got her name actually, i see Koda's with k.s, i didbt just want to be different, Coda is the last Led Zeppelin album.

Nova scotia is beautiful, and ill make sure to add lots of scenery pics up here when i go on adventures with coda. im planning on purchasing a kicksled and an xback harness and we will be all over the province, and my camera will not be left behind.

I thought we had a thread on commands but I don't see one. I'm not sure if we have anyone here who is really active on the forum and does sledding.. I wish Ren was on this forum! I'm not sure if you mean how to teach the command "hike"/mush or just how to sled in general.. Most people I've known taught all commands on general walks. Start running and say hike, turn right and say gee, turn left and say haw, say easy and slow down your pace, say woah and come to a complete stop.. etc etc.

yeah i couldnt find a thread either, ill probably make one right now, but i have read on the subject and commands, but its the how to start i need to know, i read in one place to get in front of her and coax her to pull while giving the hike command. but another person or site said that will teach her to pull but not pull me, because im in front of her. think ill make a thread in a minute.

I do too! You should invite her Smile

And I thought we had a thread too... but what Heather said is how I've been told to teach it.

As noted by Jenn earlier the cut off line for the black and white on her right leg is cool. Also just noticed even her mask is quite unique.
