Any one have any familiarity with the breed? How they relate to huskies and mals? I know they were sled dogs, but what about temperament and such?

LOL I remember starting a thread asking about Samoyeds on a different husky forum a couple years ago when hubby was interested in getting one. When we found out their coat was harder to maintain than sibes that was the end of consideration for that breed. LOL Maybe if I have time and you don't get as many responses as you'd like I'll see if I can dig up that old thread from the other forum and see what people posted.

I had a Samoyed. He was the most patient loveable dog I have ever had. Not a mean bone in his body . He was 10 years old when he was diagnosed with cancer. I had rescued my "Bob" on August 20 because he was abused and Frosty passed on august 22. I think someone above knew it was Frosty's time. Anyway the only thing I had was the expense with keeping up his grooming. It cost me a lot as it was something I could not do myself. But it was worth it. I found that Bob is smart but needs a lot more attention than Frosty needed. Totally different in many ways but both beautiful. I wish I knew how to post pictures I have pictures of both.
