Teresa took Violet to Bubbles and Beds doggie spa yesterday to try and rid her of the slight skunky smell. Can't tell now over the parfume, but she sure is softer! She seems happy.... our Beagle on the other hand... Has taken to coveting certain things, especially this pillow. She lays there, mouth open, chomping down on it for long periods of time. Not sure if it is a stress thing or what.

Today, Violet and me went to the Kuttawa Harvest Fests Bark in the Park. She took first place in the Fastest Yipyip Dog Kill category. Kidding. Best Groomed. She was definitely the centerpiece dog. I've never had so many people approach me and inquire about a pet since my four plus foot iguana Vyvyan would sit on my shoulder at the park. I must have heard the word 'beautiful' several dozen times. They contest needs a 'most beautiful' category instead of just 'cutest', IMO... I thought I had made a mistake when we showed up to see a field of about twenty puff ball dogs. And Violet went basically insane. Of course, the dogs tried to give it right back to her! In the end she warmed up to them, and I think is better for the experience. Next year, I'm going to dress up like an Inuit and win Best Lookalike!

And we're off Sunday! Which part of the LBL? We mountain bike there all the time (Canal Loop, Jenny Ridge, Sugar Bay. Dang. I think we are biking the Golden Pond to Canal section of the NS Trail that day. Maybe. Where are you all going? It's 27 miles to the Canal for us...

She had a long, rough day yesterday. A Bark in the Park, then a garden party with tons of people wanting to play, and cats. Latest she's been up since we got her!

The trail we are going to do is the wranglers loop, in the wranglers campground by Fords bay. We dont plan on staying on trail the whole time, maybe a little off road adventuring is in the works.
