- Yeah I feel a lot more confident the past two days in Max's happiness he's acted a lot better the past two days I've only had to correct him 2-3 times on biting the little one too hard and he's seemed a lot happier :-) guess they just take some time to warm up to the home. I hope he doesn't flip again soon since I'm moving into a new house.... >_< at least in the new house I'll have a separate room for the dogs so he can scream all he wants in his crate :-P
He probably will regress and this is totally normal. Just be patient with him as there have been a lot of changes in his short life already. He'll bounce back though... puppies are resilient, just like kids. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| normal? now, when I say he cries I mean he screams like someone is trying to kill. He screams so hard it hurts his throat and he vomits... That can't be "normal" The little dog will fight him when he wont shutup at night too because shes trying to sleep. |

| It's called training for a reason It doesn't happen overnight. What is in his crate with him? When we first got Koda he would whine and cry and keep the WHOLE HOUSE awake. Turns out, he hated his bed in the crate with him. As soon as I took it out, he curled up and went to sleep. You have to find what works. Where is his crate? What do you have in it with him? _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand.

| That's how Appa is too. No bedding. Cried like a banshee at first, now he's doing WAY better. |

| For both my Shadow and Stormy, I had their crates next to my bed. I would just put my fingers in so they could smell them and that seemed to calm them down. Had to do that for about a week with Shadow and about 2 days with Stormy. And Stormy also figured out that he could slip the pan out and then throw the bed out through the slot. He is perfectly content without a bed. |

| Kody doesn't have a bed in his crate either, but that's because he will destroy it to pieces and eat the stuffing..lol. |

| Ear plugs are what helped me through the first few nights of having Siku! I would get up every few hours to let her out, but between those times, it was ear plugs and try to ignore the screaming. She also scream now when I leave her in a crate when we are out, like at agility. She thinks it's so unfair! From her screaming, you'd think I was killing her! She doesn't get to the point of almost vomitting, but man can she scream. Just takes a little tough love or put the crate next to your bed like henielsen and let the puppy know you are there and there's nothing to scream about. _________________ -Sara |

| Delilah hates bedding!I thought she was just being high maintenance. She literally pulls blankets and bedding completely out before she gets in. So, we leave it empty. Delilah used to be a crier all I can suggest is put a box fan on high to drown out the whining and shut your door or just deal with it. Eventually they'll stop. |

| Shania use to scream....and it sounded like she was saying "Help Me!!! Heather, Help Me!" Even my grandmother, who didn't like dogs, felt sorry for her. |
