| Burst out laughing at the vid of Dakota complaining I thought I was the only one with this problem!! Jasper did this but a bit worse when I had my sister hold him and brought Bella down into the river by us. Had people on the other side looking at us like we were beating him or something! Their so embarrassing sometimes! |

| Hahah. That video of Dakota on the hike. Oh my goodness. I would have been so embarrassed if they had other people around.
And I love the picture sneaking in the window. Lol. _________________ |

We had people ask us a few times if she was yelling at us. Others just gave us these looks, like 'get a grip of your dog'. lol It was incredibly embarrassing, but what can you do? |

| Awesome pictures. Diablo looks very happy. My brother has dog named Diablo and I have always loved that name, especially for a husky. It seems very fitting! |

| I wish I was better at updating this post, but life just tends to get in the way, and not necessarily in a good way. I spent a good portion of 2022 dealing with minor health issues and deaths on my husband's side of the family. Then in November 2022 Dakota had her first grand mal seizure. So, so very scary. Nothing showed up on the scans, bloodwork or anything so we took her to a neurologist. Same results, no obvious reason for the seizure so we are going with late onset epilepsy. Her second seizure was on December 5th 2022. We started her on phenobarbital and she's been seizure-free since. However, since we weren't sure how long we had with her I scrambled to find a photographer who could do family photos before Christmas. I used Through Your Eyes Photography who I had run into at a rescue event shortly before we adopted Diablo. She came to our home and followed us on a walk to capture pictures outside and then we had a studio session inside the house. Below are a few pics from that session. Fast-forward a few months and while hubby and I were away on vacation, Diablo stopped eating normally. No one thought too much of it, since it's not unheard of for him, especially when we're away. Two vet visits later, this week, and the vet says it's lymphoma. We are completely devastated with this news and the earliest oncology appointment I could get is April 25th. To be honest, I don't know if he'll make it that long and my heart is breaking. Needless to say, when I scheduled the family photos in December because of Dakota's health issues, I had no idea it could potentially be the last time for Diablo. DakotaDemonDiabloDemon and Dakota are now 14 years old and Diablo turned 10 in February. |

| Lovely photos. Time flies - and your pack looks great, especially considering their age. My two are also getting on in age. Z'ev is 14 in June and Ami 11 in the fall. So bittersweet in the autumn of life. But then, I'm right there with them... |

| What a wild ride it's been over the last few months! We managed to get Diablo in to see an oncologist earlier than originally planned and got confirmation of a lymphoma diagnosis AND started on chemotherapy. He's been responding really well to the treatment and has no visible signs of enlarged lymph nodes or organs. We are on the last round of chemo and anticipate being done by the end of the month. Technically, I believe he's already in remission based on the update letters from the oncologist to our regular vet. Despite the good news on him, it's torture watching Demon and Dakota get old. Dakota has another seizure a couple weeks ago (2 back to back) so we've adjusted her phenobarbital dose and are keeping an eye on her. Demon is experiencing some traction issues on our hard floors so we've got grippy socks for him. Also think his eyes are getting worse, so I've purchased some sensor lights for our stairs to make it easier on him. We also decided on another family photo session back in June. We used Furever Friends Pet Photography in 2018 for family photos and when I heard she'd be back in the area I managed to snag one of her few session slots. Here are a few of the shots with me and each of the pups. DemonDiabloDakota |

| Your family photos turned out great. It is awful watching them get old, but old age is a gift that many dogs are denied so I guess we should be grateful to get to see them and protect them through this stage of life.
Happy Diablo is showing positive recovery signs. _________________ |

Happy Diablo is showing positive recovery signs. Jenn - your words have so much meaning, and comfort, for us today. We are not certain but really looks like Z'ev has some sort of intestinal obstruction so, whole I'm hoping for a different assessment when we see the vet at 4 today, we are both expecting to say goodbye. He's too old and frail to put through surgery. Unfortunately, hubby won't be able to be there - severe storms probable and Ami can't tolerate them so will need one of us home with him. Who knew we would become so attached to a dog that bit each of us a few times. |
