| Did some digging on this, apparently the rescue took place on July 25th, 3 weeks ago. Seems all of them are in foster or new forever homes except 4 that are still in need. I left a message with one of the coordinators asking for more info and if they are still looking for foster homes. I can't make any guarantees considering my not feeling the greatest being in the first trimester of pregnancy but I'll find out what I can and see if we can't help. _________________ |

| Spoke with the organizer, all the dogs were rescued from the mill and are in foster homes. They are looking for more foster homes as current fosterers are overwhelmed with dogs.
Unfortunately they only have young huskies available to place in New foster homes. By young I mean less than a year or still in the teenage stage that need a LOT of exercise, training, and attention. She said most are not great with small dogs and have chewing issues.
So considering that I not only have small dogs and I'm not in the best shape right now to take on a teenage husky due to my pregnancy and symptoms right now, we both agreed that it is probably in everyone's best interest if I don't take on one of these young huskies to foster. Bummer. But she asked that we spread the word as best we can to find these dogs homes.
And there are a lot more than 4 that still need homes. But the reassuring thing is that all were rescued from the mill and spayed/neutered. _________________ |

snrose, the posting did say they're willing to transport - so perhaps someone can help you. |

| Sara, we did not discuss age ranges over the phone so I have no idea how old the youngest or oldest is.
Shannon, they are willing to work with people on transport so if you are seriously interested please give them a call.
If it were not for the fact that I'm pg and feeling under the weather half the day right now, I would have taken one of them no questions asked...the timing of this just stinks. _________________ |

| Just passed along some information If they really are willing to transport, I might have found potential parents who just lost their husky to cancer Fingers crossed for them! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |
