I'm glad that there's a happy ending to a few months of unhappiness... He's ADORABLE!!!! I've never seen that coloring on a pup, I look forward to seeing it as he grows up! Congratulations!!!! |

| His dad is agouti/white and his mom is red/white so it made a very interesting combination for him. I really hope it darkens as he grows but he'll be loved no matter what. |

| He's so cute! I'm so glad things worked out for you guys in the end. So, since I have a Ghost as well, I have to ask... Was it the coloring or something else that inspired the name? Mine is named after a character in the George R. R. Martin Song of Ice and Fire series. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | It's the coloring and the same books that inspired us to name him that. When we were bringing him home and trying to figure out a name for him DH said "too bad he doesn't have red eyes so we could name him Ghost" so it stuck. |

| The breeder just emailed me a picture of his older sibling. She says he's going to look just like her when he's fully grown. I hope so because I think she's beautiful! |

| That's awesome. I had decided after I first read A Game of Thrones that when I was finally able to get a Husky I was going to name it Ghost regardless. I kicked around some of the other Direwolves names, but Ghost is my favorite. Have you picked up A Dance With Dragons yet? _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I bought the ebook bundle. It was the first four together for like $30 and I'm only on the 3rd book so far. I found this series like a month before HBO turned it into a series. |

| Nice. At least you got into it after the 5 year wait for Dance With Dragons. I was going insane waiting for that book. Did you catch the whole series? I missed about half of it because I was traveling for a couple weeks and then moved. I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD's. How are you liking it? _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I did catch all of them, since we have Comcast and HBO it was easy to watch them ondemand when I missed the live episodes. I enjoyed it but I felt like some episodes they were trying to cram too much into them and other episodes they were trying to fill a full hour with only one chapter. They also left a lot out, I found myself having to explain things to my hubby that the show didn't explain. But overall I really did enjoy it, I hope they do the next book also! |

| I liked the episodes that I saw, but the cable company in our new town sucks and HBO is ridiculously expensive. Small military town with a single cable company that has a total monopoly. I miss Uverse...
Anywho, you will really enjoy the rest of the series, and I really hope Martin gets off his ass and finishes the next book quickly. He lost a lot of fans with the wait for Dragons. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Would Ghost be considered a dilute red or Isabella white? I am curious because I have not yet mastered husky coloration What color ARE Ghost's eyes currently and do you think they will change as he matures? |

| Ambrose- As I am no master of husky coloration, I'm not 100% sure but after reading the description of each I think he'd be considered Isabella White. His eyes are brown. I can't say for sure if his eyes will change colors or not but I do know that his dad had bright blue eyes until he was about a year old then they changed to brown. |

| Congrats on the new addition!!!! he is stunning! can't wait to watch him grow and i hope that he brings joy to your family after the few months of pain you just had to deal with. Is Demon happy again?
as for eyes i think once they are brown they will not go blue but can change to a dark or lighter brown i think. _________________ |

| Pleeeeeeeease don't take this the wrong way, but to be honest, from the photos, Ghost really looks like he has something mixed in.. not sure what, maybe GSD or something else that is a spitzy-looking-shepard, the face shape looks REALLY off to me, it's completely different from that older sibling's facial structure[note the top of the head/forehead and the muzzle] and how Koda's face looked at 12 weeks and how Rogue's currently looks. And I am aware he has AKC papers but they are not hard to get at all.. my friend has a "purebred" Boston Terrier with AKC papers and she says herself, there is no way the dog isn't mixed with a few things as it has boston coloring and a smooshed face and that's all the resemblance there is. Like I said, not trying to offend you or anything, Ghost is DARLING looking and looks so sweet, but I honestly am not convinced he is full husky (which doesn't make him any less awesome! just wanting to let you know what i think!).
Also, the breed totally sold you some BS on his dads eyes changing at a year. This does not happen. Eye color is certain after about 5-6 weeks I believe. A slight color change, as from a dark brown to a lighter brown or a deep blue to a more dull blue? Yes, but not brown to blue. |

I've been thinking the same thing based on EVERY pic of Ghost that I've seen but didn't want to be the only one saying he really doesn't look full husky. No disrespect or doubt on your part Ashley, you can only go off of what you have been told. I just agree with Heather, Ghost's head just looks too "off" to be your typical well bred Siberian. He may very well be pure, just doesn't have the typical look. He is precious and oh so adorable regardless. I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thought something didn't look quite right. _________________ |

| Forgive me for stepping out of line but I was interested in the kennel you got Ghost from so I tried to do a little bit of research on my own... The only thing I was able to find was a post from HO with pics of I believe Ghost and a red/white littermate of his. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! I often try not to step into the "that doesn't look all Husky" topic because look at Mickey. lmao _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Heatherlee- I am not offended AT ALL! I appreciate you telling me what you honestly think. I thought the same thing the first time I saw him, but decided to take the word of the breeder and her vet instead. His red & white sister looks exactly how I picture sibes but I'm not in any way shape or form an expert or even very familiar with the structure of a sibe. I know very well she could have lied and one of his parents (or both) could be mixed with something and for some reason it showed up on him more than the rest of his siblings, it could be he was born with some kind of defect. He does look a lot different in the bottom two pictures than he does in real life though, in those ones he kind of looks kind of like a chihuahua lol. Anyway, it doesn't matter to us if he's purebred or not. We don't care about papers, we wouldn't even register him if it wasn't in our contract. All that matters to us is he is way cute, has a great personality, and he's going to be much loved no matter what he is.

| OMG... he is SO freaking cute. I love him! Congratulations FWIW- I don't think he looks full husky either (and although his sister looks more husky, she looks off to me too). As stated, I don't think it matters and I want to see more pictures of him cause he's PRECIOUS and I can't wait to watch him grow He looks like he has such personality! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |
