Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | Thanks, everyone! Chili's awesome - quiet and yet still a ham! I have so many pictures of him! I'm glad you guys appreciate them, coworkers are starting to think I'm crazy dog lady! - henielsen wrote:
- Beautiful. I'm not letting my Stormy see these pictures. The fact that his legs at 14 weeks (he is 17 now) are as think as my girls' legs when they were fully grown scares me. And I mean legs, not paws. How big is that crate? It is looking like he is going to out grow the large wire crate I have.
I just measured the pad and it's 35" L X 22" W X 2.5" H. The inside of the crate is 34" L X 21" W X 24.5" H (with the pad in it). Chili is quite comfortable in it, but we also haven't had him in there for more than an hour or so. He's the rare husky that can be trusted inside the house without crating. Frosti is not |

| I might need to have my friend make a custom one for Storm. He does not like the 48" wire crate if the gate is closed. I was going to get him a 54" crate, but I think I'll just have a nice wood one make for him and make it look like part of our furniture _________________ |

We totally thought about it until I found this one - it would be relatively easy to build one! I'd love to see pics when it's done! I found a few online plans searching "wood dog crate plans": Dog crate plans |

| Thanks! Hubby has a good friend that is an excellent wood guy. He's made our bed, dresser and coffee table with a built in backgammond and checker/chess board out of exotic woods when I've given a budget. It's mostly for Storm since he likes to sleep in his 48" wire crate but has issues when the gate is closed because his previous owner left him in a crate too small for him with a bag a food and no exercise. So I think having a more spacious 'den' might be nice for him....
