| This is Bayleigh. In 2008, I got her for a easter present from my girlfriend. She was scraggly, underfed, and UGLY but she was a pomeranaian, which I had always wanted. She was a clearance puppy because her mother was having another litter and they needed to get rid of her. For the next 3 years, she went everywhere with me. She would sit in my purse and just wait for whatever we were doing to be done so that she could play. We went to dog groups, we played on the beach, we were a pair. On December 12, 2010, my baby was killed. To make a long story shorter, the couple next door had 2 rotties. They got divorced and since the husband was a truck driver the dogs were left to fend for themselves. The city would do nothing about them, so they just became hungry and feral. Of course we fed them what we could, but it was hard to feed them when they were so mean. That morning, we had left wet food in the backyard for our fat cat, who liked to lay around the back yard. That evening, we decided to hang Christmas lights. We left my baby and her best canine friend, a black Maltese mix named Allie Cat in the backyard with the backdoor to the garage open, like we always do. We were in the front yard hanging the lights when I heard a horrible screech. I ran to the backyard but my girls were not there. We heard another one, and ran to the front door. In the neighbor's yard we could see them tearing apart my babies. The rotties had dug into our backyard (we are guessing after smelling the food) and drug our girls into their yard. I would have been mauled too, but I was being held at the front door so that I couldn't get to the fence. I stood there screaming at the top of my lungs while we witnessed them die. To make things worse, my birthday is December 22nd. Every year I think about her, and it never gets easier. That was 2 Christmases ago, and still we have not hung lights. My girlfriend says that she still hears me screaming for them and at night sometimes, she wakes me up crying. I know that it was 2 years ago, but I still am not over it. Bayleigh was my heart and soul. She was my sidekick and although I love Kya more than I ever thought I could, no one will ever be what Bayleigh was. I miss you baby girl <3 |

| omg made me tear up She was such a beautiful dog! Sound's like the ugly duckling tail. This story is so sad and makes my stomach hurt at the thought of going through something like that. I'm so sorry for you're loss ... It never gets any easier losing something you love. Was anything ever done about the Rotties? Such a shame people make such a wonderful breed mean and nasty like that, when in reality they are wonderful dogs! What a waste ... |

| Nothing was ever done about them. And we still live next door to them. The husband just has his 17 year old living there now so they aren't alone. Needless to say, we have cement blocks against and under the fence and our dogs are monitored. If they are outside, I am out there with them, or If the big dogs (Kya & Stormy) are outside, I am in the office with the window open so I can hear and watch them. I do not trust anything. |

| Wow, im so sorry for your loss of Bayleigh in such a tragic event that if officials would have done something (removed from the home)it would not have happened.
im sorry but its just another reason i never leave S&J alone in the wood fenced back yard we have, our neighbor behind us has a mean old dog that will and had tore off wood panels and have attacked our dogs, he is a med. sized mix and i know S&J could take him on but it would not end well i think on either end.... _________________ |

| Yeah, the dogs are NEVER alone or our of site. I'm monitor everything now. I check the fence several times a day for holes etc. I am the most paranoid person in the world now. If we could up and move, I would |

| OMG THAT'S HORRIBLE!!! I'm so so so sorry for your loss I can't even imagine going through that! I don't think I would ever get over it either. I don't leave my dogs outside unattended either. I'm paranoid also. |
