Dima and I live in a sunny area, and since it is summer, and our temperatures go up over a hundred, I think it is best I seek advice.. After reading a bit, I was just wondering if anyone has a suggestion as what sunblock to use on him. He is a very active boy, so it would just kill him if he couldn't drag me out in the blazing sun to go on a 30 -45 minute walk every two seconds ( much like he conned me into going out during a winter storm at midnight...spoiled rotten dog).

I'd be careful about sunscreen unless your sure none of the chemicals in it aren't harmful to dogs in any way.

I would never use human sunscreen, but I know there are companies that make sunscreen for dogs, and was wondering if anyone had suggestions.

i have never used sun screen on mine, they don't like to be out when its to hot and while hiking the backpacks cover the tops of their backs. if you find a dog grade SS give it a try and see if it works and let us all know _________________

| I wouldn't be out walking Dima during the heat of the day when the sun is out. I think your best bet would be to do any and all walking in the early morning or evening when the sun is not out and the temps are cooler. In that kind of heat she shouldn't be spending enough time out in the sun to even need protection from a sunburn. Sure she can go out and play as much as she wants during the day but I wouldn't be doing structured walks. Maybe use a swamp cooler or cooling vest which has become a hot topic as of late? | Koda sunbathed in 100+ degree weather in AZ- he would refuse to stay inside o I had him wear a shirt to keep him from burning his chest since it's light and has thin hair. With whit dogs though, be careful in the sun as they're prone to getting cancer from it. |

Has anyone used the Natural Dog Snout Soother? Max really needs this. His nose sunburns easily. I use baby sunscreen as per vets orders but it still dries out and peels.
