I am fostering a young male and female husky and she is very ... finniky? I have 3 other huskies and she was not up to meeting any of them. I'm keeping her in a seperate room which she likes very much. My kindest husky .... who can entice a strange cat to play with him tried... but she kept barking at him. My oldest husky grunted at her and she snapped at him. The male husky has no problem fitting in and is the only one the new female is familiar with.
Anyway, she is testing her boundaries every chance she gets. She knows where all the other dogs go to do their business, however, if she finds an interesting spot in the house... she will mark it. I caught her peeing like a boy
and had to check again.... yes she is a female. She will not eat if I am in the room... nor will she take food from my hand eventhough i know she is hungry (she will go to where she smells food and attempt to help herself) Well, she is tethered to me until she learns the house rules.... and I'm wondering... does anyone have any tips on winning over this stubborn girl's heart?
This is her first week here and the male husky she was found with already fits in and can be trusted.
