Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

lol.... I've always wanted children but it's never happened. So I kind of figured what will be will be, and leave it up to nature. I am 30 so I still have a few years before I consider myself too old. I have seen women having children 38 and older and they are SO run down... I want to have energy to enjoy my children, not be wore out all the time.

All of my furbabies except one were "rescues" of some type. My first cat my brother found at his apartment complex. She was tame, came right up to him, and she stuck close by the buildings so he figured she belonged to one of his neighbors but after feeding her on his porch for a week no one claimed her. So I came and took her home with me... took her to the vet, got her spayed/shots/checked for fleas, worms, etc. I've had her for 9 years now. My second cat was from a lady who had not bothered to fix her cat and ended up with kittens she needed to find homes for... one look at his sweet little black and white face and 7 years later he is my spoiled rotten son.... lol. Our chinchilla was owned by a breeder and got turned out because he was chewing his fur. Can't use him for fur if he chews it. Another lady had taken him from the breeder and then posted him for free on Craigslist because he didn't get along with her other chins. So we ended up with him and have had him almost a year now. He's a comical little thing and we enjoy his company and he seems to enjoy ours. Our degu was the only one we bought from a pet store and she died yesterday Sad Don't know if we are going to replace her or not. She was such a sweet little girl, loved to be held and scratched. Never had a small animal like her that enjoyed attention so much. We had to put her and the Chin in a separate room with the door closed because Meka was WAY too interested as I'm sure you can imagine.

Hehe... got a text from my husband this morning..... "dammit.... she's giving me that sad puppy dog look again..... I thought she was supposed to like this crate thing" She's a master of manipulation lol

Same exact thing here! I'm 30 and if by 35 it doesn't happen then I guess what's meant to be is meant to be. I do want one kid...just one and I'm happy =( I can see why many people choose NOT to have children though. I love them...don't get me wrong...but after all of my friends having kids. AHHHHHHHHHHHH THEY'RE A PAIN SOMETIMES!!! LOL
