| Kody is not into biking as much as Mya, it seems like oh man is that boring can´t we do something else . Have you thought about getting a Trike?, it is is a bike with three wheels and you are standing on it like on a chariot, the dogs are running in front of the trike so it is easier to jump off, and I´m sure there are ones where two people can stand on it the same time.. I would lov eto do such things with Anubis, but if you can´t see very well it is too riksy. |

| Mindy, it's really not that bad once you get the hang of it. You just have to be extra cautious with your surrounding and anticipate what they might stop for or chase. Other than that if they know how to slow down when you start breaking it's really easy to handle. You can do it! Michael, the thing is that Mya doesn't like walking right next to Kody. She gets upset if he smells her spot or god forbid there's a piece of food on the ground! They'll fight for sure. It already happened once while I walking them (over a piece of bread) No blood or anything, but it wasn't pretty. Laura & Dennis, Mya loves it!!! Kody does too, but I think that he gets frustrated when I break to slow him down. If it were up to him he's be running 20miles an hour..lol. It's scary to be going that fast at the mercy of a husky! If we weren't in the city then I would mind, but around here we have to slow and/or stop often. |

| Oh yeah, you said that before about Mya not wanting to be next to Kody. I should have remembered that.
So I guess it's two bikes, Who gets the wild child? Again, I'd opt for the lower attachment on your husband's bike, a lower position of the seat, and helmets please for both of you.
If you ride a bike for any length of time, you will crash. Most bike accidents are within 5 miles of home. Mine was a half mile from my house when two teenagers on bikes blew a red light and t-boned me. I went over the handlebars, smacked my head and cracked my hemet. They took off. Luckily I didn't have a concussion. |

| You could put your bike and little Kody into your car, drive somewhere outside and then let him run run run |

We do need to get some helmets. You never know! Just yesterday there was a guy coming towards us on his bike and he didn't try to hard to move over. Seeing a bike with a hauling ass husky attached to it should mean move over a bit! That wasn't very nice of him |

| Melissa, check this out-
http://www.thedogoutdoors.com/dog-bike-leash.html
It's a walky dog - springer type deal that attaches to the rear triangle. It looks very stable, because it's so low on the bike. Maybe you could ask if anyone has used it?

I effing hate stupid people sometimes. I just got back from walky doggin Frankie. While we were riding at our fast pace, some idiot was in his driveway watching us and then starting growling and barking at Frankie when we passed him. Really!? WTF |

I've had idiots like this do that to Mya and Kody while I'm walking or jogging with them. We're in our zone and then they totally disrupt it and I have to start dragging them away from the idiot! Mya actually wants to go up to people who do that and it's such a process to her back to focused on the walk. UGHHHHHH!!!!!!!! |

| Well, hubby put the walky dog on his bike yesterday and tried it out with both dogs. All three of them did really good actually! They don't run as fast with him as they do with me. I'm guessing because he weighs more. He seemed to feel very comfortable doing it. He was more calm then I was. I was nervous, but trying not to show it...lol.
Thank god it worked out because I had already ordered it and it arrived today. Have to wrap it. It's one of his Christmas gifts! |

| Melissa, that is so cool... I can only imagine what Keimo would do if I hooked him to one. He'd probably have me in the hospital. It looks so much fun though! |

| Crystal, LOL! He would just need to get used to it. It took us a few tries for them to get it. There are still moments that I'm like OH S**t!!! But it's fun and you get the hang of it. You better believe that you'll have tired pups just after a 10-15min ride! |

Yeah, you totally will. Mine basically pull me. I don't have to put much effort into it. Here and there I pedal to help them, but it's all them! Keimo would need to be slowly weened into it. He's 7 and he's never done it so it will take him a while to adjust. Took Mya a few months to actually RUN and FAST! |

| Yep, there's where I got mine also! $39.95! I would suggest ordering some of the spare cord as well (not the 5ft option, it's too short, now I have to order it again...ughh). The cord that comes with the walky dog seems to be too short. Especially for a man's bike that's taller. On my bike it's OK, but on hubby's you can tell that they're struggling a little to run. They can do it just fine, but it being a bit longer would be much better. I'm going order more now and hopefully get it in the next few days.
Have fun with it Len! |
