| I'm just curious as to what the sleeping arrangements are for everybody's furballs? Do they sleep in bed with you? On their bed? In their crate? My two alternate throughout the night, but when it's time to go to bed Mya takes over my hubby's spot and Kody lays out in the middle like the bed is all his with the exception of Mya's spot (hubby's spot) |

| ours both have dog beds next to and at the end of the bed. i go to bed before Ken and sierra jumps up into his spot and jack takes the middle of the foot of the bed, they move from the bed to the dog bed to the floor all night long. sierra has been a hoot the last few nights since we hooked up the portable indoor AC for the bed room, she has turned into a bed HOG! even last night she got up and moved around on the bed till she was right in the direction of the air flow and blocked it from me!!!! _________________ |

| My chi girls share a crate to sleep in at night because they can't be trusted not to potty on the floor. Dakota has free run of our bedroom so he sleeps wherever he wants except on our bed. He sleeps in different places all through the night. _________________ |

| Haha Jenn, Mya and Sierra seem to have a few things in common! Spoiled girls I tell ya I've been thinking about not allowing them to sleep in the bed at all because I have to be constantly washing sheets, but the thing is that Mya stays in our bedroom during the day and I know that she hangs out on the bed all day so what would be the point of not letting them. They do use their doggie bed, but not the entire night. |

| Well, it used to be that Nikolai slept on his bed at the foot of our bed, because our bed was the domain of the cat and since the cat is the ruler of the house, dog should know his place... this lasted from his first day with us until about 6 weeks ago. Nikolai on his dog bed. by CoffeeK8, on Flickr This was all well and good, until Nikolai discovered the den that is my huzzby's closet. He likes to be (mostly) shut in there (only a sliver open so he can nose his way out on his own). He spent most of his nights in there for about a month. Dog in his den (Chris' closet). by CoffeeK8, on Flickr Then, when the hubby was gone and I was in the shower, the dog discovered the glory that is our bed, and with a little persuasion, he could have a corner away from the cat. Cosmo and Nikolai sharing the bed. by CoffeeK8, on Flickr And now, Nikolai gets his nighttime cookie on his bed, goes to the closet for a few hours, then comes up into our bed around 3-4 AM until we get up. He's SPOILED ROTTEN I tell ya. (This has been the "norm" for the past two weeks or so.) Nikolai in "Daddy's Spot" by CoffeeK8, on Flickr |

| Appa tends to fall asleep close to wherever we are. If we're in our bed watching something on the iPad late he falls asleep on the tile floor in our bathroom. If we're around the kitchen, he sleeps on the tile next to his bed, or under the built-in computer desk as a "den." In fact, he ALWAYS chooses tiled floors over carpet or his bed. When we decide it's time to actually sleep we rouse him, he groggily goes out to go potty, then we take him to his crate that's in the second bedroom's bathroom we never use. Also, without padding of any sort. He prefers hard surfaces... it's weird. |

| Frankie sleeps on the floor at the foot of my bed which is where I used to keep his crate in my old house when I crated him. Sometimes he curls up in my recliner in my room, but always ends up at the foot of the bed. He will NOT sleep in my bed. He may jump in bed but only stays for like 30 seconds. I actually wanted him to sleep in my bed, but he ain't havin it.....I always wanted a cuddly dog.
Bruiser occasionally comes and sleeps in my bed when my mom is having an allergy attack. Her sneezes scare the crap out of him so he comes and hides in my room, lol. |

Storm likes cold hard floors too! His crate has nothing in it and he seems to like it better...he usually never lays on the carpet unless it's down the hall where it's dark when we have the lights on. He lays at the front door on the little door mat, but it's right next to 2 A/C vents. At bedtime, we lay sheets down on the carpet so it's cooler for him than just on the carpet, but since it's been warm, we've been sleeping in the basement and he's usually on the padded cold vinyl and on occasion on the carpet....never on the bed. _________________ |

| Aevyn (and our kitties) are pretty spoiled when it comes to sleeping.
Usually I go to bed before my boyfriend, and Aevyn will take his spot and insist that he's the little spoon (if my arm doesn't go over him at this point he keeps nudging me until I do and give him belly rubs), my one cat Pandora will curl up behind me, with Kahlua at my feet.
Then somewhere in the night, usually when my boyfriend comes to bed, they all play musical chairs. Aevyn shuffles to the end of the bed, or on the floor at the foot of it, Pandora on either mine or my boyfriends chest, and Kahlua will go sit in the window ledge and be grumpy.
It wouldn't be so bad but i think we need to upgrade to a larger bed. And, well, Pandora drools when shes happy. So you'll be in the middle of some nice sleep and then the next thing you no you've got kitty drool on your face. |

We're still working on Storm's weight. We're almost to our first goal which is 100 lbs by the end of June or at least by 4th of July. After that, our next goal is 90 lbs by the end of September. We're thinking he'll be between 85-90 lbs....if Appa ends up to be tall, measuring about 25" from ground to the top of his shoulders, and ends up with a broad chest, they'll be similar in build and weight. _________________ |

| Jennet, you've got both the kids with you now?! I bet you're happy to have them both at home with ya Oh, and Odin sleeps in the crate (he's a bad boy) lol while the others sleep wherever they flop down. No one actually likes to sleep in bed except for Mishka who will sometimes sneak up at around 4-5am and snuggle. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Skyla sleeps in a crate next to my bed. Max sleeps in my bed. Braiden sleeps on the tile entryway by the front door, or on the couch until 5:00 am. Then Max goes out in the yard and Braiden is in my bed until around 7:00 am. I am constantly washing my quilt and sheets!!! |

| Kitty always sleeps on the bed. She usually stays by the foot of the bed, but if my boyfriends not in bed, she likes to sleep on his pillow. Sometimes in the middle of the night, she sneaks up and curls around my head. Luka will only sleep on the bed if its really cold out. Otherwise she sleeps in a dog bed in our bedroom or just sleeps on the wood floor where its nice and cool. I actually wish she would come up more often! Last week we ordered a new bed, and we picked out a king size because that way we can fit more dogs on it eventually! Can't wait until it comes in! When we were away from home for one night and we both commented on how it felt strange without Kitty by our feet! |

| Subject: Bathroom Sleeper Mon Nov 05, 2012 9:36 pm | |
| Each night when i go to bed my buddy Rosco will jump into bed with me and lay with me for a little bit. Mostly until im done petting him and go to sleep. At that point, he will go and lay down in the bathroom title. Im guessing it because of the cool surface. Anyone else have there husky do this. Im the morning he will jump back into bed with me and lay next to me for a bit until i get up out of bed. I always have my bedroom door closed so hes not being mischief around the house. Is this a common occurance. I would rather him not sleep in the bathroom. What could be a good alternative besides closing the door. Since he sometimes will jump at the door.
Thanks |

| Kota has always slept with us since the day she came to our home at 8 weeks old, and has been my little snuggle bear. Typically she sleeps towards the foot of the bed, with her head on mine, or my husbands legs, but lately she has started sleeping directly in between us on her back. Its so funny, and cute that I dont have the heart to make her move back down to the bottom of the bed.
BUT...
Since we got Skyler Friday our sleeping arrangements have been slightly messed up. Since Kota and Skyler both INSIST being on the bed all night and that we only have a queen size bed, its getting a little crowded. My husband just wants us to start making them sleep on the floor but I think I am just going to get a bigger bed since we need a new bed anyways. While we were in NC at my parents over the weekend to pick up Skyler, the 4 of us all slept in my parents full size spare bed, so it was more than crowded. I am not exactly sure how we managed that. If they weren't so darn cuddly I might just make them sleep somewhere else but doesn't look like that will be happening anytime in the future. |
