I have a 8 week old husky name Kobi. Today I brought over my girlfriend maltipoo who is 1 year old and is a girl.

Kobi is very aggressive and chases her around and we can see that he sometimes pushes her and even tries to bite her.

Is this normal playing? The maltipoo sometimes just wants to sniff him but he just wants to chase her around.

That sounds like typical play for a husky pup. What makes you call it aggressive? Sibes are very rough players and they are often mistaken for being aggressive when they're just being their typical rough selves.

And some 8 wk old husky pups play almost as rough as adult sibes, they start young!

I was just trying to be sure. because at times the maltipoo would cry a little bit because Kobi would bite her neck.

The neck, cheek and front shoulder areas are favorites of Huskies when wrestling each other. Maltipoops just are not built to take the thrashing that Huskies like to give and willingly receive from each other. Thats why "its a husky thing."

Valerie, how is your Dakota with your chi girls when playing? I always kept my Dakota away from smaller dogs mainly because I didn't want the owner of the small dog to freak out on him when he got rough. He has definately gentled with age though.

He's way too rough with the chi girls. I have to keep a close eye on them at all times for the chihuahuas' safety even though Dakota doesn't meant to hurt them. The chi girls have learned to scream bloody murder at the slightest hint that Dakota is getting too excited. It's actually quite funny when Dakota goes barreling after the girls in the yard, Faith pancakes and Glory runs like mad screaming.

Dexter is 9 weeks old, and is playing rough WHEN he plays.. But with strangers, he is quite soft in his play.. But when he knows the dogs he is really rough, and he seem to really need a "stop it" from the othe rdog.. he doesnt take the small hints from them, he just keeps playing

You're so right!!! The neck and cheeks are the main spots that Mya and Kody go for when playing! Sometimes I swear Mya is going to ripe his cheek off..LOL! Definitely A HUSKY THING!

Kitty always goes for the neck! I'm afraid Luka is going to get a bad case of "turkey neck" in a few years! Mine sound and look awful when they are playing. Its hard to make people understand that they are just playing, not killing each other!

Yup. Husky play. It took a while for the neighbors to really understand how our dogs play. LOL.

That made me giggle... I just imagined the Chi girls...

I've never really saw Ginger play until Storm came along. And then when Storm started at her neck, I swore he was biting hard enough to cut her open.
