| So, I've been noticing this over the last 5-ish months, initially I thought it was just because she lost her summer coat and it'd change once she grew in her fur. But I do think her stomach has become a bit darker and pinker. Her skin isn't concerningly pink, I'm debating myself if it is irritated, but her stomach fur is pink. For some reason the stomach fur is not white. It's turned a darkish/pinkish color that matches her skin color, making her stomach look way pinker than I remember mid-summer.
Is this sign of some issue? |

| Probably a yeast infection or a Porphyrin issue. They can also co occur. Porphyrins are excreted and licking can spread them. When they build up its usually some type of allergy or dermatitis causing it. Also the dreaded mites and fleas
Use a peroxide based shampoo, dry your pup, then massage apple cider vinegar into her coat, especially where she is red.
If that fixes it then its yeast if not its probably an allergy and then that's something else. But if its not going away with the antifungal treatment then a mite check might be in order followed by doing allergy testing. Allergic dermatitis can be treated now at the vet office. |

| I live in the second story of a very clean apartment building. All hardwood floors. There are no insects and critters here so mites don't sound the most likely to me. Yeast, maybe. Is there some other sign of that though? Nothing else seems to be wrong with her. Allergy seems probable... I have been playing with he food a bit more past 6 months. I think that is when I switched her to Orijen and been giving her chicken and easing in more of the beef because she seemed sensitive to the beef. Maybe I should cut out of the beef as a first test. I'm also on the fence if she is irritated or not. Here is a photo. Some of the darkness is just her fur being dirty. The pink color of her skin is also not entirely atypical, like the pink on her nipple, her skin has always been about that pink in a lot of places, I am not certain her skin is irritated. What is different, if you look closely is the fur being pink. Her stomach fur was whiter in the summer, which made her whole stomach look whiter. What's a peroxide shampoo? Is that benzoyl peroxide? |

| Fur can become stained if she licks at it a lot or if there is an excess of yeast from an allergy. Yeast tends to build over time. If you go through food changes it will take a while for any effects of the last food to wear off. A lot of your whitening shampoos have an oxygenizer in them to help brighten white fur.
Age can play a part as well. Some coat types go through a lot of changing in the first year or so and each coat blow can reveal a whole new dog underneath. _________________ |

| Does she look like she has a problem or is that color within normal husky range? |
