Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. crate - Is 36" crate to small? Empty

I ordered a crate and the website said 36" for typical husky so I ordered that, but now I am wondering is that too small for an adult female husky? She's not too big, mid size maybe? when she's laying there in her comfy pose she is about 30" long so definitely can fit, but do they want a bit more room in crate size?

I use a 36" crate only for sleeping overnight for my smaller husky but I wouldn't leave him there during the day
. It is just barely adequate in size. If we leave home during the day, he has a 48" in an outbuilding that allows him to fully stand up, freely turn around and generally give him more room. The 36" is only because that's the size that fits the space and all he does is sleep at night.

My young dog is in a 36" crate now. he was in a 42" when I first got him but he destroyed that crate and when I moved on to a tougher crate I got that in 36" due to cost. He's in the 70 pound range and he fits in it perfectly fine. He isn't going to go into a full stretch but he can stand up if he wants. I leave him in it while I'm at work all day on Mondays and he does fine.

We have our girls in the 42" and the boys in 48". Gives them enough room to stretch out. They seem to stretch out and lay on their backs when they sleep, so they need the room. We just introduced beds to them and the girls have ripped theirs, hoping they will get bored. Sewing the holes is not really working out to well.

Don't waste your money on dog beds. I gave it soto after the third or so. Don't even last 48 hours 🙄

So I have given in and took the dog beds away from the girls, they kept ripping up the stitches every night. Its a shame but they are destroyers, even most toys are a no go.
