Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| My 1 year old husky mix was neutered a week and half ago. Starting about 3-4 days ago he has just started pooping in the home. My husband takes him out in the AM around 7. Then if I am free I take him out at 11-12 ( if I have our baby I can’t go out which is 3x a week) but in that situation he is used to me putting a pad down and he goes potty. Before neutering he was doing great with holding his poop. He pooped when my husband took him out, I fed him at 12noon and he went back out to poop when my husband came back from work at 5.
Is this regression normal? Now I put the pad down and he pees on it but when I step away goes and poops in a random place of the apartment. |

| From my experience, mostly with females, neutering them causes all sorts of "things" to go wrong. One little girl obviously wasn't sure what was going on so she'd go lay in front of the door (one of her favorite spots, anyway) and end up in a puddle - and I'm not certain that she knew it was hers.
In your case, since he's piddling when / where you want him (which isn't a viable solution for too long) I'd suggest that you take him back to puppy training until everything becomes more stable again. (( Puppy training - every half hour whether he needs to or not! ))
Incontinence with some women is a problem after a hysterectomy ... let's say this is a similar problem. It'll heal, given time, you'll just have to be certain to get him out much more often than you've been used to. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| He is able to hold his pee, it’s his bowel movements that he is doing in the house. That’s what confuses me! But you’re right. We are going to have to start from square 1 |

| Oh, I wasn't ignoring that. It was just intended as an example of some of the "things" that neutering can cause. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |
