Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. | When we got our first husky a little over 6 years ago, it was easy to name him. I went to Michigan Tech, whose mascot is a husky. So it fit just right to name him Tek. Sadly, Tek cross the rainbow bridge back in November and we have picked out a new puppy. We get to bring him home mid March and am struggling to come up with a name. Looking for creative takes on Tek. Otherwise, here's the list we've narrowed down to just 19!!! Yoda, Calumet, Easton, Barley, Gordie, Sven, Olaf, Kota, Vader, Niko, Mick, Tank, Bauer, Bandit, Ghost, Luka, Blu, Kylo, Rocket. Naming Tek was super easy, we had the name picked out before we even began looking. But this husky has been tough. Edit: How rude of me to not include a photo. Here you go.

I won't suggest what you should name him but I'll strike a few that are either overused, some seem to be personal preferences (Calumet, Gordie) or just plain weird (Barley?) of your list I like Luka and Olaf. My preference for naming a new puppy is to bring him into the home and call him "pup" or something simple; then when his personality starts to come through pick a name that fits. For example a dog who runs everywhere try "Bolt" (of lightening) ... _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford .

| We never named squirt but she was always acting like a little annoying squirt as a puppy and it stuck... not the little annoying part but the squirt part. Shadow i had for almost a month before i named him, he is named after shadow from American gods. Spider was named for spider in anansi boys. Splinter was named after master splinter from the ninja turtles. Mine seem to get named after neil gaimen book characters or comic/cartoon characters.
I think he looks like a thor |

| In that picture, with those feet, I'd named him Quack. For those duck feet |
