| Hi everyone! I had the joy of stumbling across this site while researching liver colorings and just had to join! I've had two huskies in the past and adopted one within the past year for a buddy for my other dog! Koda is my husky in the pictures below, my other dog is Zoya, a german shepherd husky mix! Zoya looks much more like a white german shepherd though. A little about me is I currently work in a dog kennel and have always had a passion for animal welfare! I have parrots in addition to my dogs as well as a blue tongue skink and I'm working towards my Vet Tech degree! I hope to breed in the future, wether it be dogs or birds, and hope to learn more about coloring and genetics on here! A little question just to get some replies going: What color do you think Koda is? breeder said red sable but knowing she may have some liver in her I'm curious to others opinions!

| There should be an announcement somewhere that says "Note: our members are off doing things with their family (human and canine) over most weekends." but there isn't. You should have 2-4 responses come Monday morning.
I can't help, I'm no good when it comes to colours. But I do like that "wolfish" husky of yours. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| @aljones Jealous of those who can spend their whole weekend with their pets lol I've been working at my kennel all weekend! I asked for the same reason though, I'm absolute trash at colors and breeds most of the time!! Can't wait to hear what others have to say @Lostmaniac She does have copperish points! Its hard to tell if they really have a red tint or not though, we thought it was black at first but in the sunlight she definitely shows off her mama's red color! Her mother was a classic red husky and I did not see pictures of father but I'm assuming he was darker and more wooly with how she turned out |

| On spider the copper points are behind her ears and her legs. At one point i thought it was dirt and tried to wash it off.
I thought the easy way to tell if your dog is black/grey vs the reds is the color on the nose lips and eyeliner but i could be wrong. Spider is not really the best example though because she is only 22% sibe |

| https://www.huskycolors.com/rescue.html so grey or black with red points is wolf grey. The difference between sable and wolf grey is mainly the color of the undercoat. The above link goes into all the colors and patterns and had lots of pics as examples |

| @Lostmaniac She's definitely red, nose and eyeliner are both a liver/tan color! She just doesn't look too red and her coat changed so much we just didn't know what she would end up! Edit: just saw your second reply! I think that might be it, I'm really curious as to what her dad looks like now! |

| @Liv_Skye Apollo is beautiful!! Very unique coat just like Koda, I'm not sure if Sable is what I would personally call that though? It's hard to pinpoint but its a little more tan and has less of the dark browns! I was wondering if he had any red in him to maybe change that sable to a light red/sable but his nose looks pretty black. Do you know what his parents looked like? |

| Also in the summer Skye would have a pink nose and in the winter it would go black? Don’t know if this helps because I do know that white isn’t a colour it’s genetic thing that blocks there true colour Huskies are such a strange breed |
