Hey guys! So we are one month into having two dogs in our pack and things are great. Kona is starting to blow her coat quite a bit and I am dying to use my blower on her. Only problem is that we live in an apartment with no access to an outdoor area (with an outlet) to plug it into. We don't know anyone who has a spot we could borrow and I would hate to pay money to groom them somewhere when I can do it myself for free. Im reaching my wits end and considering doing it in our bathroom at this rate! I could just brush them outside but they both lose their patience too quickly and the blower works 1000x better than any brush. Any suggestions on this?? That husky hair is piling up!

Train them to the vacuum... or convince the birds here to go to your house. They divebomb the dogs when they shed for nest materials.

3 of my 4 are blowing coats now. My advice invest in a really good vacuum and a carpet rake. Then it wont matter where you do it

i go to do it your self places, most run $10-$15 a dog. the mess and hair stays there, you end up a little wet but cheaper then paying a groomer.

Self-wash location is easiest for me--your back really appreciates this and no mess to clean at home!  But first, I trained him to enjoy grooming.  I did this by tiring him first, then he would have a good treat (or treats) to keep himself busy while I filed down his nails with a dremel, brushed or clipped his fur paw.  Now, I don't have any trouble vacuuming him too (he waits patiently for his turn--bc/ of the goodies he receives). Smile   And, I feel that when I groom him myself, I do a better job.  Wink
