Yuki, now 1 year and 10 months, still tears clothes, especially those of my daughter and one of my sons. I would like advice, please, on how to stop her when she is in the process of doing it. With my daughter it is wide trouser legs and with my son it's sleeves.

Make her sit. Teach a hand signal along with a very obnoxious sound (I use my hand like a crossing guard's "stop" and a loud, unpleasant "EH" sound when I want the guys to stop something.) So, the process would go - Hand sign, "EH" then "sit." Then when she is sitting and calm, offer her something to play with, with the person she's molesting. Sounds like a tuggie of some sort might be appropriate in this instance (I cut up the pant legs of old sweat pants, tie the ends in knots, use that for tug toys.)

Thank you for the advice. Now, when Yuki starts chewing and pulling we say no very sharply and very crossly and she is beginning to learn, but I'm sure it will be a while before she's completely learned not to tear and chew. She's 2 today, so she's still a bit immature.

Uh, yea... Ami was about 2.5 - 3 before he started settling down. But the hand signals and noxious voice worked well. Just had to be consistent 'cause while he would stop, he would start back up again a few minutes later

Sounds like our Yuki all right.
