Hi everyone!
I have a 9mo old female husky and shes pushing 53lbs when I weighed her on 6/21 at the vet. She isn't over weight, but she is definitely larger than the standard weight for a female husky 30-50 lbs. I never met her parents and got her from someone who couldn't care for her when she was just 3 months. I'm wondering if anyone else has a female husky on the heavier side and if so ... how old and how much do they weigh. I'm trying to get an idea of how big she will get.

Maybe post a picture.  She sounds like a big girl.

Could she be part Malamute?

It's very easy to tell if your husky is at a good weight. The standard tops out at 22 inches and 50 lbs for females. So if she is taller than 22 inches, she should be more than 50 lbs. If not, she is overweight. At 20 inches, they should 35 lbs. At 21 inches, 42.5 lbs. If you want to know how big she will end up, you can double her weight at 4 months for her adult weight.

My husky is 8 months old and 50 pounds exactly.  Vet says shes healthy ( outside of gastroenteritis she had) the breeder told me shes right in the middle of her parents weight and i shouldnt expect her to get to much bigger. She guessed 65ish. No idea if she will be correct but shes had a few litters so tend to believe her
