My husky is 45 pounds but I feel she is too small/ short she is about 1 year and half and they told me when I got her that she was the runt but is that correct.

Looks/ sounds fine to me. Our 1+year old female is about that weight.

What makes you feel that she is to small or short? Google "husky breed standard" to give you an idea of the height and weight one would expect from a husky.

Because people look at her weird and say she is to short and they even ask is she a husky? I have had other huskys and the female I had was taller. Do u happen to know at what age they stop growing? Could it be because she was the runt? I would lover her regardless I just want to make sure she is okay compared to other husky sizes

As for this girl, standard calls for a height between 20-22" for female and a weight between 35 and 50 pounds. Indiscriminate breeders have been breeding them larger than standard which skews peoples expectation. So - your gal sounds spot on.

She is beautiful. My little girl is the same size as your girl, and Mishka will be 5 in a couple of weeks. A well bred Husky is rather small (they are a medium sized breed...I believe a Beagle is also considered a medium, so a Husky is not a very big dog) I'd say your girl is where she should be.
