Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! Wow! That husky DID make that escape look easy....and I would have called that a secure fence. Maybe that's an argument for not having any fence and then the owners would have to actually walk the dog, play with him on a leash or take him to a dog park. Oh, wait, I'll bet that guy could escape the dog park fence as well!!

Good point and I bet you're right, the dog parks around here anyway would be no challenge.

It's chain link, I don't think it's that challenging at all, it pretty much has stepping stones.. but that's just my two cents. We have cement walls in AZ and Koda has never even tried to go over the wall, but even if he did want to he would not get out.

Whoa. That beagle was impressive!
Guess a secure fence/cage just really depends on the dog not the fence. Some dogs will climb over a 8ft privacy fence while others never even attempt to climb/jump a 4ft chain link.

At my first house I had a 6 ft wood privacy fence put up just for Dakota. He's not a jumper so I thought it would be perfect. He figured out in the first week that if he used his head at the very bottom of the fence and pushed with all his might he could break it and then crawl out.

This just proves for the 100th time why I don't leave my dogs outside for more than a minute without supervision. We're currently looking at getting a 6ft chain link gate installed (our current one is only 4ft). I know that chain link fences are no match for a husky, but we rent and I refuse to spend over $700 on a fence. At least a 6ft fence makes me feel a tad bit better then a 4ft one. I still won't leave them out alone for more than a few minutes, but my piece of mind during those few minutes is worth it..lol!

I'm hoping to move in the next year or so and I plan on finding a house that I can put a 6ft vinyl fencing up. I know that will be the most expensive choice, but probably the most husky proof. I have hopes of fostering in the future so I know that will be a must. Has anyone heard of dogs escaping the vinyl fencing? I don't think they can climb those and it has to be much harder to break at the bottom.

The doggie daycare I use has those white vinyl fencing. Those don't have the middle board running across the fence, so I think you'll be OK.
...and KUDOS to you for wanting to foster!
