| Hi forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I have had my two 10 wk old puppies for 4 days now. Brother and sister and this is my first time having Husky's. My husband and I absolutely love them! However, they seem to be playing and biting each other a little hard. I'm wondering if they're doing this just because they're puppies and they will grow out of it. Or do I need to nip it in the bud now? They are very close to each other they sleep laying on each other, by each other's side etc. Thanks in advance |

| Welcome. Hoo boy. husky play. I've always said husky play is not for the faint of heart. My guys at 5, 6 and 9 play like wolves fighting the death. What always amazes me is..not a scratch. They seem to have some unspoken "safe" word cause nobody gets hurt. Occasionally one will you, they'll interrupt the play for a second then at it.
If you find one is always dominant, excessive pinning down of the other, than maybe interrupt it. The only times I have are not in the house (I'm sure I can be heard even in Canada when I holler "OUT") |

| Thank you for your reply. So even as being puppies you can't teach them NOT to be so rough?. Ugh this will definitely take some getting use to. By but if they don't hurt each other than I guess it's just what they do. |

| Yep, have to second @amymeme on this. My three are around 8 years old and while they play quietly, it looks like they're going to tear each other apart - but at the end of the tussle, no blood and three sleeping dogs. Just, I'm sorry, take a chill pill and enjoy Huskies being Huskies ..... amy, Was that you I heard yelling the other day??? It sounded sorta like "OUT! damn dogs OUT!!!" _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Oh please don't get me wrong they're only 10wks old right now I was just hoping they grew out of being so rough. No biggie I love them to pieces already. I just want to train them so they're wonderful dogs to be around. I know they also havr a stubborn streak. Lol! |

| Absolutely train them. Especially not to be rough with people! But, enjoy the husky play - it can be a wonderfully entertaining spectacle, it wears them out (did I say - it wears them out ) and the can certainly, like 2 legged kids, learn there is a time and a place for play. And - looking at your avatar, looks like one of your pups may be a wooly? |

| We also got a brother/ sister combo. It's not just twice the fun, but 10 times the work... Rough play surprised me too. They seem to "battle" constantly... then they'll be laying on each other sleeping. Also don't be surprised if they go at each other every now and then. The pack structure must be established and maintained (or something like that). Look up Littermate Syndrome. I'm no expert, but I hear it's a thing and should be avoided if possible. Oh.. welcome to the forum! |

| Thank you. Not so pretty right now - snow's gone, warm few days, ground is saturated from almost constant rain since last July. He's a muddy, stinky boy. Smells like a swamp. Fortunately he decided to claim Z'ev's crate. |
