These little pepper/fruit looking things are growing on the tree that comes over our fence from the back neighbors yard. Kody is obsessed with eating them and I have no clue what they are! I want to look it up to see if they are harmful

Could u go knock on the door and ask what they are? Or take them into a food store and ask? They look tasty, hope they are safe to eat

If you find out, let me know. We have them all over the place too. I don't think they are harmful though, I know a little girl who use to eat them and she was ok, lol

well at least it cant Kill them! just keep an eye on Kody and get him to leave them alone... could you spray a few with bitter apple or something he hates and when he picks them off the ground they will taste GROSS? that might curb him from eating them in the future.

That's what I said! Great idea...i'll put some of the bitter yuck stuff that he hates on them and see if that will help. Boy is obsessed I tell ya! He doesn't even want to play with me when he's in the yard because he's too concerned about getting them out of the tree =\

That is sure an interesting looking fruit/veggie! The bitter stuff worked good on the berry bushes in our yard, so it should work on that fruit/veggie too. They are nice and colorful. Nothing that interesting grows up by us.

Aren't they edible? What are they? They look like undersized pumpkins. LOL! I think you should prevent your dog from eating them because they might contain something that can poison your dog.
