| Hey guys! My name is Lynsy. My husband and I just adopted a 2.5 year old husky girl. We did a lot of research before we brought her into our lives, but she surprises us every single day. We were worried because we have 2 cats and a young corgi, but Lucca loves them all. She is so gentle and tender. She actually submits to the 11 year old cat if he walks by! We were misled about her living conditions before we got her. We were told she was a house pet, she had all her shots, she was groomed regularly.... When I first laid eyes on her, I knew immediately that she'd been bred. The owner bashfully admitted it when I asked. She gave me her vaccine information and I found out she'd only EVER been vaccinated for rabies. She did not have a collar or leash. Plus, she was filthy, smelly, and riddled with fleas. I was told she was "a bit dirty" from the hurricane (we are located in NC). I was furious, but I knew immediately that we were meant to find her. Lucca now has all her shots. She no longer has fleas. She is scheduled to be spayed. She immediately took to our fur family. She treats my corgi (Carmen) like her baby. She is the most loving dog I could imagine. We are really excited to have found this forum! Here is my baby! |

| Welcome to our hairy home, Lynsyloo and <the nameless dog!>
Thanks for taking this girl into your home, from the sounds of things she was just waiting for you!
You've got yourself a real pretty red-head there - but from what you said I'd bet there was a lot of work that went into getting her to look like that. Huskies are one of the cleanest breeds I know of, they pretty much groom themselves - almost like a cat at times, so the follow up cleaning is to just keep a brush handy for when she needs a brushing (which will probably be tomorrow and the day after ... <evil laugh>) _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Haha thank you! It did take a lot! We have 2 rake brushes for her and Lucca LOVES them. She pretty much loves anything that means her humans are interacting with her. |
