Hello, all I am new here and I would like some input. I have a 6-month mal and want to have him eat raw. This is what I came up with buying in bulk at 6 months at a time. Id liked to know thoughts on this. It fits perfectly to 80,10,5,5 Ratios. I also made sure to take into account bone %s of RMBs. The calculation is Ideal weight 85#*4% to get amt of food. This is, of course, a 6-month breakdown, I would break this down further on a weekly basis.

Turkey Necks 40lb
Chicken Split Breast 120lb
Duck Wing 40lb
Chicken Thigh Boneless 120lb
Beef Tripe 9lb
Chicken Heart 80lb
Turkey Liver 29lb
Pork Brain 19lb
Chicken Gizzard 100lb
Beef Kidney 9lb

Total: 566lbs 6 month total

He would be getting in lbs per week:

RMBs Muscle Meat Organ Meat Veggies Liver Tripe Total

2.38 18.68 1.19 1.19 0.36 23.80LBS

Weights look good. Looks good for a first batch but you will need to work in fish and more red meats. It is suggested that you feed 50% red meat. Duck is red, along with pork, beef, wild rabbit, deer. Fish or a fish oil supplement is a good add for northern breeds. Helps coat and joint. Tripe is nice but a bit of controversy on how useful it really is opposed to other supplements.

Thank you. Currently I am supplementing with 4g wild caught Alaskan salmon oil every day and nupro once a week on Sunday. Would you say half the gizzards and half the thighs and replace with Either pork shoulder or sirloin and the other half 80% lean ground beef? The coop I’m going through doesn’t have much deer they have veal but that’s expensive. As far as freezer raw fish worries me I’d love to feed salmon to him I’m affraid of poisoning. The coop has tilapia scaled and gutted which I’m thinking I could add in there 2-3 a week, but same thing I don’t want him getting sick. Also what could take the place of tripe?

I would rotate or replace the tripe with plain Greek yogurt. Talapia, catfish, mackerel and sardines are good fish to add. With mackerel and sardines make sure they are water packed with no salt added. Fish in general are safe to feed you just have to look out for certain kinds that are high in toxins like shark and tuna.

When adding pork go slow. It's very rich and too much too fast will give your dog the runs.
