| Hi everyone. Just found this site today, and have some questions regarding treats and or bones for my super sensitive husky puppy. Nova is 4 months old and had bad diarrhea for the first 3 months - the vet had her on different foods trying to find one that worked for her and we finally found one! Costco brand Kirkland Nature's Domain puppy food! YAY!!!
But, I am worried that the diarrhea will come back if I start trying treats or bones. The issue is I have 5 other dogs that get treats/bones and its not fair if she isn't allowed to have any.
Any suggestions on what treats for sensitive stomachs? |

| Can she tolerate chicken? Full moon makes chicken jerky, which of real breast meat chicken, dried with a bit of..maybe sugar or molasses, made in us with human grade chicken. My dogs love them but this is more a treat than a chew. https://www.chewy.com/full-moon-chicken-jerky-dog-treats/dp/132370?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=f&utm_content=Full%20Moon&utm_term=&gclid=CjwKCAjws6jVBRBZEiwAkIfZ2tGysYQfb_RJMWxFzKR4EeHiCffaOMY5V0oiU9FlDnjaWXBccIX1LBoCexgQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds |

| I like himalayan chews. Not sure how they sit with stomach. My dad's dog who couldn't tolerate bones did good with them as well as Antlers. If you try antlers get elk or Moose. Whitetail is too hard. Split tines are better for Pups. _________________ |

| I have bought several different brands and both of my girls love and do well eating dehydrated sweet potato. You can also make your own. Most that I have fed last a few minutes, so not a total gone in 60 seconds, lol. Most dogs are not sensitive to sweet potato, and if anything, since it is high in fiber, help keep poops firmer. I do also give elk and moose antlers, tho my husky mix isn't really into them anymore. I also have given the Full Moon jerky that Amy suggests, I haven't tried the himalayan chews, mainly because I believe they are made of yak milk, my husky mix girl would probably adore them and do fine with them, my gsd who does have allergies and sensitivities I am unsure how she would do on them, so never have tried them. I have heard that they do last a while, so it may be something to try and see how your pup does on them. Sadly it is a trial and error type of thing with a sensitive dog, you wont know how they will do on any given treat, unless you try it. |
