1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

I am always amazed by Rumo's cleanliness.

Go for walk, muddy paws after walk...by morning, the paws are snowy-white again.
Got some dirt on his snout...a few hours later, after licking paw and grooming his face with it, his face is snowy-white again.

And the funniest cleanliness of all-
we were walking through the park on a damp day -
I asked Rumo to sit...and he REFUSED. He kind of squatted, but wouldn't actually put his butt on the ground?
I was puzzled, because he never defies me when he 'understands' the command, and Sit is one he knows very well!
Then I realized that he did not want to get mud on his snowy-white butt!!  Very Happy
For example, today (a dry day) he executed a perfect front-facing sit in the street...

He is so funny about staying clean!

Mars is always grooming himself (he could be a cat) too and doesn't like rain. But, one day we made the mistake of taking him to the dog park soon after some rainy days. He played, ran around and had lots of fun, but he also got hot. In the park there was a ditch (has been removed) right in the middle that was full of thick muddy water.  Well, the next thing we know he went into the ditch water head first, and rolled around in it (he was so happy)--it took three shampoos to get the mud off. Fastidious Dog! 1625187496   Needless to say, no more park visits after rainy days.

My female keeps things pretty neat and tidy. My male makes sure his feet are clean but the rest of him he isn't as concerned about....unless he's gotten a bath. Heaven forbid the water on them be clean water, then they must get it all off.

Shocked Whoa! It must feel great though, on a hot day!
Rumo does have the bad habit of trying to drink from puddles like that on hot days... (yich).
