It's been a while and I would not be surprised if nobody remembered us! Hahahaha! Okami is 16 weeks as of yesterday! It's been a hell of a ride so far, and last time you guys heard of me, I was facing biting problems. Good news! He's definitely improved! He is still quite mouthy but it's greatly noticeable that he does not bite down. So improvement right? Lol. Aside from that, he's extremely social, absolutely adores people, he has to say hi to everybody and anybody we come across. Very friendly but as soon as he gets comfortable he will get playful which means he gets mouthy. Still working on that, any advice I will gladly accept. Other than that, Main problem.... TICKS! Omg ticks so many. It must be my area but if you guys have any ideas on that, I would gladly receive that because it's gotten out of hand. Not just unsafe for him but also me

Okami is looking AMAZING!!! I'm loving his coloring.
Mouthing is pretty much an ongoing work in progress while they are young, and yes, not clamping down IS an improvement just keep at it and he will overcome it.
Ticks are dangerous. My breeder just posted something about them on her FB and it was awful. Besides checking his body, be sure to check his paws and in between his "toes". My breeder posted a pic of a paw that was just infested with ticks, it is pretty nasty. You'll probably want to get Okami on some sort of flea/tick prevention schedule. I'm using a beef flavored treat called Nexgard but there are other options out there. Your vet can probably give you some recommendations too since you'll want to be sure whatever you give Okami, treats for the kind of ticks most common to the area you live in.

And this is just and added bonus to show you guys how stubborn he is! He wanted on the bed and I don't allow him there. It made me laugh so hard had to pull my phone out!

For ticks, I swear by a permethrin based topical. I use vetguard plus. We have tons of ticks up here. rin

He is a stubborn funny talkative little guy!
Ditto on the Nexgard - our vet recommended that. It's one pill a month - I just put it in his dinner and it goes down without a trace. Haven't seen fleas or ticks on him, so I guess it must be working. Your vet may recommend something different, based on ticks & fleas in your area? ( Hmmm, I will qualify that it's one PRICEY pill a month...ack.)
